I was just wondering if any of you know if we need any special jabs for the Maldives?

we went to sri lanka and maldives and didnt need any jabs. it all depends which part of maldives you are going to x

We had jabs for tetanus, polio and typhoid (combined) and hepatitis A at the beginning of July although I think this was mainly for the Sri Lanka bit.

hey. we go to the maldives in august, we had our jabs yesterday - doctors strongly recommended hep a and typoid (they do it as a combined vacination so only one injection), and we had a tetanus update too (that arm is swollen today and sore). Jen
we had jabs... my typhoid and tetanus was out of date.. but i was told my hep a was good
h2b had to have his final hep a booster.....as his typhoid and tetanus was up to date....
my arms swelled loads but went down within a week....

apparently with hep a, if you go back about 6-9 months later they will give a second jab and then you are covered for 25 years. i had injections in both arms, one is pretty sore and swollen. i hate needles but it wasnt too bad. h2b hasnt been to doctors or taken a tablet in 16 years, he wasnt well after the jabs, was all dizzy and pale, apparently because his body isnt used to any medication.

yeah thats true with hep a i had first jab in 99 and 2nd in 01... and they said it was within 2yrs of the first and therefore i was covered....
as much as I dont want to go back for the second, I will do as means 25 years cover. hoping the soreness will go away soon! i wasnt sure whether would have to pay, but luckily the standard injections like that are free on the nhs
