OMG I cannt believe it! My organist is certain that Canon in D is not at all appropriate for my entrance. She said it would sound stupid and everyone would laugh!

Im having Canon in D, whether she likes it or not. If she doesnt like it, I will find another organist!

Stick to your guns. I'm having Canon in D and my organist is fine with it in fact its one of the most popular pieces of entrance music aside from the normal bridal march. Perhaps your organist can't play it thats why she's being mean. There will be no laughter.

well the church has 2 organists, so I could ask the other. But I really dont understand what her problem is. Canon in D seems very popular on here and i think its lovely

I opened this, expecting you to be wanting your organist to play something ridiculous, but your request is totally reasonable! Not to my taste, as I would prefer something that announces your arrival a bit more, but certainly isn't a silly or impractical suggestion, and would be lovely!

I bet it's because they can't play it. I have a very simple version to play on my keyboard and even that is difficult.

Canon in D is one of the most popular pieces of bridal music - I had it playing while my guests arrived.
