Where have you lovely ladies got your bridesmaids dresses from? Any suggestions for some good quality dresses?

I like the look of some on the dessy website but haven't seen them 'in the flesh' yet.

I've got 2 adult bridesmaids, my sisters who will be 24 and 20 and I quite fancy tea length dresses. our colour theme is ivory and champagne. I don't want anything too fussy for them and would really like to get them something they can hopefully wear again - any suggestions? I dont really want to spend much more than £200 each for the dresses but i'm hoping thats enough to get something perfect.

Thanks!

Hiya,

I really struggled to find modern dresses for my BM but I love the ones I have picked. They are from Jim Hjelm and one of the girls is wearing this style :

and I can't find the other style online. You should definitely have a look at his collection if you get a chance. I was quoted £265 each but shopped around and have ended up paying £190. xxx

Lola I love the dresses you chose, gorgeous!!!! I really wanted to get a cool drapey grecian style dress that the girls would wear again, that looked quite formal but not bridesmaidy, so we ordered these dresses from tadashicollection.com which look amazing on and can be worn with a belt to change the look if they don't want to be identical:

A friend had some lovely champagne coloured dresses from Reiss for her wedding recently, BCBG also has some dresses that could be nice for bridesmaids

i think they have a selection of colours for most dresses.... their website is quite good....
they took 10 weeks before they were ready, and have swarovski detail on the sash... they are beautiful..
oh and all my bridesmaids were very happy with the choice cos they said that they can genuinly wear it again... they cost £225

Hi Happymrstobe,

I've ordered three adult bridesmaid dresses from Dessy. (Style 6545 in cinammon). They are quite plain, but vintage looking which is what I wanted. They are tea-length too.
I've paid about £150 each. Here is the link:

happymrstobe! I love the BM dresses by Watters and Watters. They do two collections - Watters Bridesmaids which is a bit more sophisticated and Wtoo Bridesmaids which is a bit more girly and fun, all gorgeous dresses though and plenty of tea length ones to choose from. Enjoy perusing them all! x x

We're having ivory and a hint of black colour theme and I don't want her to wear black.

Thanks everyone, love love love the suggestions especially the jim hjelm and watters ones they are gorgeous! Its nice to see everyones choices too and that other people are not going for overly typical bridesmaidey styles- I just dont like the tradition heavy satin type bridesmaids dresses and I can't imagine my sisters in them. I love the floatier chiffon kind like your photos.

Thanks again xx

I've ordered mine from here: www.courtesan-boutique.co.uk
We've gone for "orchid" in grey satin with a black organza over the top. And a fuschia sash.

I've ordered Jasmine L2017 in navy blue, the price on the dress was £198 but we got them for £139 each! It has a chiffon lining over the dress, really lush!

You could try Kelsey Rose, dresses, they are very modern and my bridesmaids are wearing them and they are in their early 20's. They retail about £160 upwards and they can wear them again.

I looked at Dessy dresses, they are gorgeous, I sent the links to Dessy and Kelsey rose dresses to my b/maids and asked them to choose which dresses they liked.
