Subject: TTC confusion after a run of bad luck......
Hi ladies,
Congratulations to those now expecting- what wonderful news!
I got married 2 weeks ago- the most amazing day of our lives and the intention was always to ttc as soon as possible. We have been very keen to as my husband had testicular cancer 2 years ago and we were always anxious to know if after his op if we could be successful at ttc' ing!
I came off the pill (microgynon30) on 22nd June, and had what I imagine was my withdrawal bleed on 24th June- 30th. However...... in the meantime my doctor rang and said that there was some abnormality on my routine cervical screening (march!!- and only NOW they tell me I need attention!!!) so was made an emergency appt for wed (1st) for a colposcopy. Went and had that done, the gynae doc said there were 2 areas that he wasn't happy with so took 2 biopsies, won't know the results for 3-4 weeks (and he proceeded to have the dreaded 'c' (jade goody) chat with me.....)
So.following withdrawal bleed I had more bleeding from the proceedure.... god knows what is going on now.!
Just wanted some advice/ reassurance/ tips as to carrying on ttc after the healing process..... just getting concerned reading some of these blogs that some ladies re waiting 70 odd days for their 1st proper period before they know that they are ovulating etc....
We have our honeymoon late september and ideally wanted to be pregnant by then or otherwise I'd have to go on the mini pill or something to ensure I wasn't AF whilst we are there.... and then this will surely delay the whole ttc as my body will then have to clear itself of the mini pill....... man its soooo complicated.
Just praying that my results don't come back from colposcopy with anything sinister....
Making it harder as both my sisters are pregnant.....thrilled for them but a little jealous to say the least!
Any words of wisdom would be gratefully received. Am I right in thinking the bleeding I experienced is withdrawal not first real AF? Am totally new at this so apologies for all the questions....
Anyone been or any one you know in similar circumstances?
Would love to hear back from you all and am spreading baby dust for all of us to share!

Sorry I dont know if I will be of much use but didnt want to read and run, and im sure i can answer 1 or 2 of your questions!!
You are right in saying withdrawal bleed wasnt first true af as you wouldnt have ov'd last cycle.
Also for your honeymoon, isnt there a pill that you can take just to delay af that isnt the same as mini pill? Im pretty sure ive heard about something like that before.
I dont have any experience of abnormal smears, im ashamed to say ive never had a smear test. Will definitely get one as soon as i;ve had my baby!!
Best of luck hun and I hope it all comes back clear for you so you can start ttc.
