Hi

I'm thinking of having an origami bouquet so have been having a play around with different papers and this is my first attempt.

They look really good - I would suggest using an odd number of flowers for a better composition.

Beautiful!! Go for it.
I'm using origami too, though not for the flowers. I can't remember what I was looking for now, but in my many googling expeditions I came across an old oriental tradition... brides making 1000 origami cranes for their wedding. Teaches patience needed for long and happy marriage, plus a wish comes true etc. Also people make these as gestures of peace after a girl from Hiroshima started to make 1000 and died before she could finish. I'm a hippy at heart, and a soppy romantic fool, so, I'm in. We've bought a really nice garden arch that they will hang from. I'm thinking we'll put it behind the cake table or something. Most people think it's nuts, but I love the sentiment.

Thanks for all the positive comments! I'm toying with the idea of using little origami lilys on the tables as decoration as well as in the bouquet. I'm also planning on having a go at making a fascinator with a lily on it although I'm worried that might be over kill. I originally planned on getting married in a pre-raphelite dress but because of finances I'm now more inclined towards a Vivien of Holloway dress which I think would look good with my bouquet.

Great work!
I considered a paper bouquet, but changed my mind due to possible dampness in November!

That is beautiful, I love it. I think its brilliant when someone makes their own bits for the wedding, much more personal and meaningful.

i love it really pretty
think if you got a funky bead for the centre of each flower it could add to the awesomeness
