I thought it was about time I came on and said hi as I've been lurking for a while and am now officially engaged (yeay!).
We're aiming for Nov 2010 in Cumbria and still making our minds up whether to do the whole same venue for ceremony and reception, or whether to go for register office and some lovely restaurant for a meal prior to knees up in real ale pub.
Is anyone based in or getting married in cumbria on WB section? I'm finding it easy enough to get info about more traditional venues but was wondering if you've got any opinions on indian restaurants in central lake district? We live in Yorkshire, so asides from mass-curry weekend visit, won't get much chance to check places out so hoping to pick peoples brains!

Sorry I know nothing about the Lake District (though Sally Cinnamon is getting married next to Ullswater I think - but in a hotel so prob not what you're looking for - she's having a drinks reception on a boat on the lake though). But thought I'd just say hello , I miss the planning stage - I'm getting married in 23 days eek!
