Beauty & the Beast

It is me and H2B's favourite film, I know it's Disney but we are both big kids!! So it really has special meaning to us. My sister recently bought the Disney piano book and the piano piece for Beauty and the Beast (Tale as old as time...) is BEAUTIFUL.

I really want to walk down the aisle to it but do you think people will laugh? My friend is a professional pianist and is playing at our wedding. Our guests know us and know we love disney but just wondering if this is a bit OTT? I well up when I hear the song now cos it just makes me think of me and him

Oh and it's a civil ceremony!

Personally, I would love it! Maybe some people will think its a little cheesy, but I say do exactly what you want... A wedding I went to had A Whole New World sung as they signed the register, and no one laughed! And it obv has speical meaning to you two, so I say go for it

I really wanted this, but my h2b put his foot down and said that he didn't want this. I guess coz maybe people would see him as the beast etc lol?! i dunno, but i'm not allowed it!

I think your day should be about what you two want..not keeping up with the Jones! You do, what you want to do! You may regret it if you don't use it! My other half and I love Disney...so I fully understand! What a lovely song too...good choice! x x x

Im having it as my first dance! I want to dance like Belle and beast does in the ballroom! (I wish!)

I really like the idea of having a whole new world playing while we sign the register.

As you can see, Im a big disney fan too!

Its really just a basic waltz - which is just a few steps repeated, get a learn to dance video and give it a go.

oh my god i feel so much better now! thanks for all your replies. h2b is happy with the song choice, he is a 2nd row rugby player so is quite happy about being refered to as a beast. i think he quite likes it lol!!!

I'm so glad you posted this I was totally thinking about having this asour first dance but not sure about how it was going to be receivd, Need to see what the h2bthinks but I'm going to steal smitenkitten's idea-my h2b is also a rugby player (prop)so he also might like the beast idea!!! xx

Awesome! I wish my H2B would let me do this. Although he is letting me have a belle and beast cake topper, so I guess I have to give in somewhere!
