What do you think of this idea for Kids ?

Hi Ladies

I have very few kids at my wedding due to space however I do have approx 8 kids and I really do want to try and keep them entertained so the parents can have a good time

So far I have had made up activity books and sweets for the ones around 8 yrs old and the babies i have made up goody bags eg rattles so this I hope will keep them entertained whilst at the table. Im assuming the babies will fall asleep later or be taken home so I want to do something for the older ones eg 8 yr olds so here goes

Iv heard before of giving them a disposable camera with a list of pictures they need to take and once they have completed the list they hand the camera to chief bridesmaid and she will give them a little prize - below is a list I found of what pics they can take - I will tweak it but this is the idea

Your challenge, should you chose to accept it is to take all of the photos on this list, hand the ticked off list in to the best man Paul and you will get a prize!

BE HONEST WITH ME IS THIS TAKING IT TOO FAR TRYING TO MANAGE THE KIDS ?

SHOULD I DO THIS OR SHOULD I JUST LET THEM GET ON WITH IT

I think its a good way to keep them occupied! i've een worrying about this myself. I think i will just have a bouncy castle though, so that i can have a go on it myself!! hehe

well i think thats a great idea .you wont be doing any harm. it will be up to the kids if they do it or not so NO I DONT THINK YOU TAKING MANAGING KIDS TOO FAR

the kids will love it and deffo think parents will be over the moon that kids are busy and they can relax and enjoy. nothing worse than a twisty kid saying IM BORED IM BORED

I love the idea and have just copied it all for mine Hope you don't mind... You can get really cheap disposable cameras and I think the kids will love the challenge!

I was also going to do a treasure hunt in my garden for the kids to do- that way they can explore the garden (my mum has 3/4 of an acre to roam about on!) and have fun at the same time! We're also going to have a kids chill out section with cushions and music so they can have their own "space" without feeling seperate

I have a really big family so loving all these ideas and I know the kids in my family would love doing things like this!

How about a quiz about the venue?

Something like
1. How many tables are there?
2. What colour is the floor in the main hall?
3. How many windows can you see when you stand at x
4. What is the name of the flowers in the bride's bouquet
5. What is the groom's middle name?
6. How many ladies are wearing hats?
7. What is the wedding cake made of?
8. How many different instruments are in the band?
9. What is the name of the chief BM
10. How many people are wearing blue ties?

that kind of thing? You could team up a big kid with a little kid?
