Subject: Beware Idiot Girls
Just had to vent a bit...

Me and H2B got invited to a club on the weekend by a good friend. No problems we turn up and our friend is there with a group of his friends who we get introduced to. There was a couple there getting married in 2 weeks and I had heard the girl was a bit of a loon.

Anyway at some point everyone gets up to get drinks and its just me, the girl and H2B sitting around a table, me between the girl and H2B. H2B says "talk to her" (there was some background music etc) so I say to her "I hear you are getting married in 2 weeks, you excited?" and she replies "No" (wtf??). So I push on and say "I'm getting married in 2 months in Australia" So she asks where my dress is and I say "Its in Australia" and she says "whats it like? Is it full or not?" So I look at H2B who is right next to me, and I don't feel comfortable talking about my dress where he may potentially hear (not sure if he was listening or not) and she can see I don't want to say anything so she says "you can tell me, whisper it to me" so I whisper in her ear that its a full dress and she says out loud straight away "Oh big! Nice, full!" WTF???? Right in front of H2B!! I was so shocked and upset because one of my big things I was looking forward to was surprising him in my big white dress!!

As soon as she said that H2B got up and walked off. I have no idea if he heard as there was background music but it wasn't heaps loud so its about 50/50 whether he might have heard. He swore he didn't and that he just went off because he was bored.

WHAT A MORON!!

Beware who you tell things to ladies!!

What a weirdo. Hopefully he didn't hear but if he did "big and full" probably wouldn't mean anything to him.

I know 2 other girls getting married and neither of them are excited at all. I find it really bizarre and it makes me look like a nutter when I try and talk to them about wedding planning. One is "bewildrered by it all" and the other is letting her mum arrange everything!

What a numpty!! Fingers crossed that he didn't hear, and even if he did being a man he prob didn't understand the meaning of words such as big and full anyway! I'm sure his jaw will still drop to the floor when he sees you x

I wouldn't worry, even if he did hear he's probably forgotten- men don't understand dresses

He would probably think she was saying something different to what you told her to put him off the scent. If I would him I would assume she wouldn't be dumb enough to repeat what you whispered. x

Thanks ladies. I'm a bit bummed because I had recently discussed with H2B that I didn't want to wear a tiara, he saw a transaction of "the wedding veil shop" on our account so knows I'm wearing a veil, and he knows my dress is white because he's seen my shoes. The big dress was the only surprise I had left :\(

Oh well theres always the garter I guess!!

My husband knew about the veil and that I was wearing something like a tiara, plus he saw my shoes. Nothing will prepare him for how you will look when you have it all on so you really have nothing to worry about. Men just have no idea about wedding dresses etc !! x

There's always one isn't there?

My sister has near enough given the game away a couple of times now bless her - but thankfully my OH has selective hearing and I'm constantly having to repeat things so he didn't hear LOL.

Thanks Annp... thats what I keep telling myself too. Plus there are lots of different variations to the style of a full dress, and like you girls said, guys just don't get this stuff anyway.

Was just so mad she tried to ruin my life in the space of 1 minute! Was only trying to be nice.. just thought I would let you girls know as a warning!!

honestly love- a dress is nothing until YOU are in it!

My h2b saw a photo of my dress and when I recently asked him about it he cannot remember it AT ALL- despite claiming that he did! I even got him to draw what he remembered and it was nothing like what I'm wearing! So I guess what I'm saying even with a picture it will mean nothing until he sees YOU in it.

Lots of love

I definately think you have nothing to worry about, there are soooooo many styles of dresses that "big and full" mean nothing to most people - let alone a bloke!! As funnyface said, you could prob show him a picture (of u in it!) and on the wedding day he'll still think its the first time hes ever seen it, or think you showed him a different dress or something!
Don't make a thing of it, and he'll have forgotten it by tomorrow...
Nothing will prepare him for seeing you on your wedding day. You will blow him away! x

honest to god this man has an ART DEGREE and he couldn't even remember whether it had straps or not! I'm having a HUGE ballerina length strapless dress and he drew a long full length halterneck dress.

So really and truely- it doesn't matter. She was an idiot but she hasn't spoilt anything!
