I only ask as when working out my budget there is £5000 (predicted) worth of stuff that will most definitely see the light of day again, lots of times

i.e. his tailored suit, my jewellery, shoes, photographs, the video camera, our wedding rings and so on

they are not therefore costs just for the day itself

can these be taken off the total do you think? that'd be nice!

If I can it brings me within budget

Not really as they were bought for the wedding and can be used after as opposed to have been bought for something else and then used for the wedding... say for example you had bought bay trees for the front of your house and then re-used them for you church decorations...

I dont think you can take them off the overall budget as they were bought for the purpose of your wedding and you prob wouldn't of bought them otherwise..
When we added everything up 3 weeks b4 our wedding it came out as 21K...
We didnt have a budget just paid for things as we needed them but didnt take the first price.. HAGGLE!!!!!..
but our total was everyhting we had spent on the wedding right down to my nails and new make up etc!!!.. so i didnt feel so bad when i looked at it like that plus it also included our honeymoon but not the spending money,,,

You can take out and put back in anything on your budget spreadsheet... but you still have to pay for it eventually!
