The gorgeous Mel got into modelling after placing highly in competition run by a men's mag.

Page 3 fame followed suit, and our Mel became a firm favourite thanks to her butter-wouldn't-melt looks and stunning bod.

Born in Sittingbourne, Kent and now living in Essex (with brief stays in Canada and Morecambe), Mel worked in a budget supermarket and also – would you believe – as a bus driver.

But her lucky, lucky ex-boyfriend saw the potential in her and sent some snaps to a men's magazine. The rest, as they say, is history.

Mel moved to London and made a name a name for herself as one of the most photogenic models in the business. She also gained attention from other, erm, areas.

Yes, in 2005 some news arrived that made every red-blooded male in the country keel over with excitement – Mel and Page 3 colleague Becky were in love.

Her relationship with the cheeky blonde made headlines around the country and it also marked the end of Mel as a solo model – they now came as a double act!

Sizzling pics of the pair came thick and fast until - to the dismay of Page 3 fans – the lovers called time on their affair after only a year.

Mel is now back as a superstar in her own right and will no doubt continue to get pulses racing for a long time to come.

Just because you have lots of money to chuck at your wedding doesnt make it better! Unfortuantely no matter how princessy she wanted to be she came across as a ladette...dress with see through patchs...very Jordon! Falling over drunk...just trashy!

I can't believe how much she spent on her wedding...I could pay off half my mortgage with that!

I just thought it was laughable when she talked about her budget and said she wanted a full on wedding with a princessy dress etc then acted so appallingly at the reception...surprised she did not get her boobs out! I thought the one that won had the most balanced day, did not particularily like his swigging beer before hand. If you cannot get a tattoo if under the influence, or fly on a plane, why oh why do people think its ok to get rat arsed before they say their vows!

Oh, i watched this last night!! I expected something fantastic from Mel, but ive been to weddings alot nicer than that and which didnt cost £77k nor had the bride skidding on the floor.
Im all for enjoying yourself but she did look a little silly.

The cave looked lovely, although not my cuppa T.

The African theme was lovely too and the other lady who won that seemed quite nice.. was her husband an alcoholic or something? I think i missed the beginning.

I can't series link it either, was it a one off??? x
We are getting married on 5th November 2010!!!

And yes I always make typos and I can never be bothered to correct them!!

Don't think its a one off, sometimes my sky box won't let me series link until closer to the time of the next programme?

The lady who won...don't think her h2b was an alchoholic, just liked a drink but who knows what goes on behind closed doors!

i wanted the gilr with the Afrian wedding to win coz she was the nicest out of the lot. the cave lady just kept going on about chocolate desserts and page 3 girl was v irritating. her husband sounded like David Beckham as well. I just thought it was all very essexy - no offence meant here as I'm an essex girl myself.......releasing doves though??? it was all a bit too much. £77,000 just seems like way too much to spend...
