So far I've booked the ceremony & reception, ordered my dress, bought my shoes, bought bridesmaid & flowergirl dresses, bought the mens suits & shoes, sent out save the dates, booked our hotel for Cyprus, bought rings & booked our UK reception (getting married in Cyprus). How is your planning coming along? Only 332 days to go! xx

we are getting married 2nd july 2010 aswell!! we booked it on Sunday. That is all we have done so far! i really need to start looking at everything else before time runs out!!!

Hello! Im getting married on 2nd July 2010 too!! Only 332 days to go! Ive just got the venue booked for ceremony and reception, photographer, booked cars, booked the registrar and asked our attendants like best man, bridesmaid etc...!! Been dress shopping to about 4 bridal shops and might have already found 'the one'...although got another 3 appts on the 29th august and also going to retry the one and see how I feel but I cant stop thinking about it so its a good sign!! Just in the process of booking our DJ and pianist...also got bridesmaid shopping this weekend so hopefully get them sorted too....after that - not sure what else I can sort out until nearer the time!

0710bride - you are so organised - i thought I was organised but you have done loads already! Where in cyprus are you getting married? What dress have you decided on?

Congrats to everyone - we have chosen a fab day to get married - if it was like 2nd july this year - we will have a glorius day!!! ;o)

KT&Dave - dont worry - I didnt know where to start either but I had a friend who had just got married so she started me off and the most important things to get booked is the stuff that you defo can't do without and also can only do one wedding at a time - eg photographer, cars, venue...after that - just take it at your pace but I would get a wedding magazine and go from there hun! I think I naturally am quite organised and plan in my day job - its come quite naturally and it means no stress nearer the time (plus good advice from married friends to get as much sorted early!)#

0710bride - I can't see your picture - what make is it? Im interested in the ashten dress from augusta jones - that possibly could be the one already! Im quite petite as only 5"2 and a size 6/8 so didnt want massive dress...although everyone is saying that I should have a big dress as its only day you get to wear it but I feel more comfortable in the ashten dress....plus it has the nice fitted part but then the overlay makes a nice train....its very vintage looking!

Im getting married in a little manor house in west yorkshire called holdsworth house - its very picturesque with beautiful gardens - its very oldey worldy but can be made modern with beautiful centrepieces, chair covers etc!!

One of my friends recently got married in cyprus although not sure where but her wedding pics looked stunning!!!

wow 0710bride you are very organised. i have done quite a bit, got venue, cars, coaches, photographer, make up artist, florist sorted..... and my dress is coming tomorrow. eeekkkkkkk! lol. I found it quite easy as my sister got married last year so it has all been fresh in the families mind, hope to get the rest sorted soon. im marrying my sisters husbands brother so the guest list is all taken care off, same as hers, what a situation lol xxx

p.s anyone got any nice ideas for good shoes, that are comfy!!!

0710 bride - Aw, thanks - thats what I wanted - elegant and not too fussy but create the wow factor without being a huge dress! Aw, your dress is gorgoeus too - its the same style as mine with the fitted part and then an overlay over it - love the crystal band round the waist - with us being petite - its good to have something to define our little waists - hehehe....my dress (im already calling it my dress even though I have not decided on it but I do think it will be 'the one' - hahahahah!) has a simple beading detail under the bust which emphasises my waist!!!

Aw, my h2b proposed last year on holiday in cuba on a beach (we have been together 6 years prior to that though) - it was very romantic as totally unexpected as since been together so long - just didnt expect it though as thought he wasnt botherered about getting married!!! Wow - you have been engaged for 6 years - how come you waited so long?

Aliwynne - you are very organised too! It defo helps when you have had someone who has recently got married to help you as I had about 3 friends who got married last year so they was able to give me loads of tips - its fab!!!

Not even had a thought about shoes yet as thought I better decide on dress but I had a look on internet and depends what style you want? Are you wanting heels? There is some pretty ones in Dune - you might need to get those gel pad things to make it more comfy as think I will have to!!! My other half is 6foot and with me being only 5"2 - i defo need heels but I wont be able to stay in them all day if I didnt get gel pads! Only 331 days now ladies!!!!

Has anyone booked their honeymoon yet? Is anyone planning to have it as their guest list as we are since we have lived together for years now so we dont need new things for the house....do you think people would contribute to our honeymoon instead? xx

have not thought much about honeymoon, although really i need too. im sure i have read about a website that you can get guests to pay money into an account and then you book it with it. cant remember what its called! have been looking at rainbow club shoes as apparently they are very comfy. really like the hattie style ones but my h2b is not massively taller than me so not sure if i want big heels!

that was one of the other major things I wanted to think about as want to have a fabulous honeymoon - defo want to chill out after the wedding!!! Yeh, I have managed to get in contac with a company who does thing called honeymiles - they set up for a website for free (if you book with them) and you can set up things for people to buy you like dinner on the beach, couples massage but I just didnt know whether people would mind doing that instead of a traditional gift list!!! Ive heard of rainbow club - will have to try them! Aw, hattie are lovely! I quite like solitaire but they are quite expensive at £185?!? I dont know what style of shoe I want - dont know if I want pointy or peep toe! xxx
