Subject: Indian/English wedding fusion - caterer suggestions pls
Hiya ladies

Hope you are all well. I am just looking for advice :\? – I am getting married next year to my fiancé who is English – I am Sikh. We have booked the venue where we will also be having the civil ceremony.
I am just wondering if anyone can recommend any caterers who will be able to caterer for both Indian and English food? We would like a buffet but of both types of food to please everyone. Just wondering if anyone knows and can recommend a such catering company before I start calling! We will be getting married in Reading in Berkshire.

Also if anyone else is having a fusion wedding what type of catering are you having? are you going for just indian or just english? would be good to hear what everyone else is doing.

Thanks! xx

Hi,

There are lots of caterers that do fusion cooking. The ones that do it tend to be expensive, so you'll be able to get lots of names through the big hotel wedding venues. Examples are - Saffron House, and Ragamama.

My wedding was a mixed wedding, so we decided that for the civil ceremony we would have English food and for the Indian ceremony we had Indian.

hi there - I am Indian (Hindu) and recently married an English guy. We used Ragamama Ragasaan caterers and can honestly say they were amazing! We had mixed food for our lunch buffet but a full indian sit down meal in the evening - they can do anything ! Everyone really enjoyed the lunchtime food and I def recommend giving them a call...

thanks for all your help ladies, will def look into the caterers recommended although now we have decided to go with all indian food as it was getting all a bit stressfull trying to decide how many english dinners to caterer for! we'll just have to have a few non spicy indian currys on the menu for people who dont like spicy food.

how did you all decide to decorate the venue? we have an old barn as the venue and other half wants a big indian wedding with all the colour and lots of flowers hanging from the walls, and i've caught him watching the asian wedding channel on sky!
