Any Seamill Hydro Brides??

Hi girls,

I'm getting married in 7 days at the Seamill Hydro, just wondering if anyone else is getting hitched here? Or in fact, has anyone already been married here??

Just looking for a venue buddy Asked on this site away last year, but i had no takers Probably left it a tad late now since i've only a week to go

Hi Girls,

We have went for the Brisbane Suite for the whole thing. We have always liked the Seamill and the day we went down to book (last July) the room was all set up for a wedding and we just fell in love with it!!! They do it up beautifully for the ceremony. I have a florist who is coming to do flower displays in the ceremony room and she is going to decorate the banister with flowers and give us an archway at the top of the banister to make it more fancy for the ceremony. Also got a great woman coming to do our chair covers, she has beautiful covers and pays real attention to detail. Wasn't going to have them at first due to cost, but she gave us a great deal for delivery, set-up and picking them up again, she does a great job too. Seriously cannot wait!!!! 6 sleeps, YAY. I will come back on here after my honeymoon (mid September) and post you guys some photos if you want? Hubby to be is goni take photos before anyone arrives of the rooms all set up, so i'll see if i can get them on here - need to try and figure that out!!!! x x x x

MsBono2010 yeh that sounds great! cant wait to see your pics as thats where im having my day.who are you using for flowers and chair covers?Hope you have a great day! so excited for u!lol

I am Seamill Hydro in June 2010. Seemed to tick all the boxes for us, nice location, great food, really nice recpetion room and friendly staff.

I am getting married on the lawn ( weather permitting lol) and then the Brsibane Suite.

Hi cheryl,

I'm using Floribunda for my flowers and Sew 4 U are doing our chair covers.

Know the Florist woman through my work - not at all florist related!!! She comes into our office a lo as she is doing work at our place and someone told me she does flowers for weddings. She usually gets a stall at the Seamill's wedding fayre which they usually have some time in October, and she does all the other Ayrshire hotels too. She just did a wedding at Lochside last week and the flowers were lovely.

Chair cover woman is really nice too. We knocked it off getting folk who are easy to deal with and know their stuff. 3 sleeps now - oh my gawd, i'm getting giddy thinking about it, LOL x x

Anno Cheryl i thought i had ages, and when i joined here i got the shock of my life! Thank god for the forum, or i would still be sitting looking at picture haha.

I have a few things done now.

Hows your planning coming along?

MsBono2010- yeh i think thats whos going to do our chair covers. Are you using your own centerpieces?
JustMandy- im quite organised, got venue,dj,dress,BM dress and photographer u?are you going to the seamill hydro wedding fayre?

hi gilrs so jealous, im not getting married until august 2011, ceremony being held in arran suite and reception in brisbane cant wait, theres not a days gos by that im not planning in my head, cant wait 2here how u all get on.

Oh seamill is going to be busy lol

XCherylX I was going to go to wedding fayre but its the day after my birthday ( and its a big one lol) so i will be waking up in Newcastle with a hangover!

I have a few things organised, had to cancel a few bridal shops having been unwell so i got my first bridal dress appointment this sat morn now am better ( am petrified!) so see how that goes.

Got venue, dj, photographer, few decor things, sent out the save the dates, and got chair covers done. So i am getting there! i think!
Would feel better if BMs pick dresses , i would relax better then.

what colurs are you having? are you staying there overnight?

aww ur sooo lucky lol. i wanted the arran suite for ceremony and meal then the night do at the brisbane but they wanted £750 more.. i was like noooo way, were already spending a bomb!!!

Aye anno the small things you forget about are the biggest shock! ...... if you break down the prices you like EH!...but i got so fed up looking at places i thought just do it, book it!

I did get rid of there drinks package right enough and agreed on putting some money behind the bar for a few drinks for everyone. (None of my lot would thank you for wine) and i cant bear waste specially booze LOL,
over a grand for a few glasses each to see it lying all over the place was not for me.

Now my family are not keen on staying over, so there going to a diff hotel, they love the venue but hate the rooms!
