Need advice on DJ - Please please read

Hi all,

I have booked my DJ with ST Entertainments, namely Joseph Folan, to play at my venue, Oaks Farm in Shirley, Surrey. After sending him an email, which bounced back, I did a little search on the companies house website and it turns out that their company was dissolved in May of this year. However, their website is still up and running and still states their company registration number. I managed to get hold of Mr Folan's telephone number and gave him a call, where he told me that the company was dissolved becuase they are changing their name, and my booking still stands.

However, I am now getting quite worried that he might run off with my money and not turn up!!
Does anyone have any advice, or has anyone had any experience with this DJ company?

Sorry to hear that hun, I don't know the company at all I'm afraid but if I was in the same position I think I would find someone else not worth the risk, you don;t want to worry all day that your dj won't show up! if your only going to loose a deposit then its probably worth it rather than having no evening entertainment!

Unless you hear some good feedback about the company of course! Only my opinion though sorry if not much help.
