Hey Girls I'm not new to YAYW but to this forum. I am 24, getting married in Sept 2010 and have 2 children. My son is 5 and my daughter is 1. We are going ttc no.3 straight after the wedding.

We were planning for August 2010 (had it paid for) but had to cancel! It was totting upto over £14,000 and could not justify it!, people were moaning about travelling, so we decided to go abroad...
Which has now been put on hold again!- I started up a business this year so money is going into that... So I officially have no idea ! lol

what sort of wedding is everyone having?

Hi everyone, I'm newish to YAYW, been on here a few times before but have just become a member. Yay!

I am 23 and had a baby in June, we were supposed to be getting married this year in Sept, but then my little one came along and we couldn't really afford it anymore. I have been with my OH for 6 years and am so desperate to have my big day! Not sure when it's going to be now but hopefully sometime in 2011.

I'm thinking maybe abroad as I think it will work out cheaper then have a big party when we come home? Anyone else getting married abroad?

Really, LJB, there are lots of ways to have a great wedding on budget! For example, we fell in love with a gorgeous venue but it s rather expensive and like you, couldn't jusifty the costs, Lucky the venue are willing to offer taliored packages now. I got two courses meals for more than half of normal price per head and i will use wedding cake as dessert and chocolate fountain. Also we are getting married on Sunday which enabled us to save 35%. Look again at your venues and see if they offer credit crunch packages, and if you don't ask, you don't get. Lots of venues in glasgow had now created new cheaper packages due to credit crunch. Also, a pal of mine had chosen fork and knife buffet instead of formal meal, it s cheaper and in some way is better than formal meals coz you get plenty of choices at the buffet where the formal meal you only get one or two choices!

Anyway, i better shut up.

LauraGM- we're getting married next August in Las Vegas (just the two of us-my mum is having the kids ) and we're doubling it up for our honeymoon so 5 nights in LV and then 3 in NYC. We live in Spain so we're close to the beach all year round and want to go off and do stuff we wouldnt do with the children hence Las Vegas!
Then in September we are having a big blessing/party here in Spain with all our friends and family (120 at last count eeeeek!) Think I've got most major details done-but there seems to be a neverending list!!!

We had decided on 2011 originally but excitement got the better of me and I convinced h2b to make it 2010 hahaha!

Hiya I'm 23 & am getting married in August 2010. I have a 17 month old son & 2 step daughters who are 5 & 6. We are planning another after the wedding(yeh I know I must be mad)! We are on a strict budget because we don't want to leave ourselves in debt especially as we are renting at the moment & are planning to save a deposit & buy a house after the wedding. Luckily my parents are contributing £3000 for our venue & my h2bs parents are contributing £2000 for our honeymoon, but we can only afford to spend about £5000, taking our budget to £10k in total.

Mummy22 - Your wedding sound really great! different and nice for you two as couple. Lovely! You live in spain?? Lucky you! especially at the moment, it s pouring down up here in glasgow!

Got my dress already - AA 1148, I know it s rather too plain for some brides' tastes but it s perfect for me, just what i want. What about you?

Mrs Biggs2be - ten grands is brill! my budget is £7500 included honeymoon so it s doable for you.

Seem that everyone saying they will ttc after wedding, i dunno if i want to have another kid or enough! Plenty time anyway!
