Hi
Me and my h2b would like to go to Italy and stay in a really cute boutique style hotel. We would like somewhere were we could hire bikes and go for rides around different towns, we don't really have a budget in mind, but any suggestions as neither of us has been to Italy before. We would be looking to go next July
Thanks
Kate xox

Hi mrsParniani2b,
congrats and good choice, Italy is a gorgeous honeymoon destination.
Check out La Minervetta http://www.laminervetta.com/, it's boutique, luxurious and in Sorrento on the ever romantic Amalfi Coast. For more boutique hotels ideas across the country, log on to http://www.chicretreats.com, it's a cool website with a really unique collection of properties that won't break the bank. I use it a lot.

Hi,
H2B and I love the idea of somewhere like Bali, however, I am not so keen on the flying! Is there anywhere you can recommend as nice that is a bit closer to home?

Hi Tarynthird,
July is a good time to visit as I believe the dry season runs from April to October. If you're looking to be by the beach, my favourite hotels are the Four Seasons, Oberoi and Anantara. But to get the best out of the country, I'd suggest doing a twin centre and staying in land too. Ubud, a town in the heart of the island, is an incredible place, with artists, tamples and bustling market. Here's I'd recommend Uma Ubud and Como Shambhala (but be warned, this one is very pricey).

Hi,
Me and my H2B still havent booked our honeymoon and we dont know what to do, to much choice out there. We are getting married in January 2010.
We were thinking about indian ocean. We would like a good standard of accomodation with good food options as we do not want to go to the same place for 14 days. We have found the maldives varies greatly in price compared to Mauritius but we have been told it will be rainy season in Mauritius, so would it be better to look at Maldives?

Thanks Amanda
That sounds great. We would like a bit of r&r at the beach but would like to do lots and experience the culture so Ubud sounds perfect. Is there a lot of wildlife out there?

Hi Tarynthird,
it's around 15 hours flight to Bali, so I guess that's a long way if you're not keen on flying! The most exotic place that I can think of that's not too far away from the UK is Egypt, which is around a six-hour flight away (so less than half the time it takes to reach Bali). Here you've got the amazing beaches, warm water, five-star hotels and the added bonus of desert safaris and even a Nile cruise to see the pyramids if you fancy soaking up the culture while you're there.

I'm getting married in October 2010 and wanted a honeymoon in South Africa & Mauritius, but it seems so incredibly expensive! Is there anywhere else where we can get an African Safari & beach holiday for a more competitive price?
Our current tour is Mauritius (1 wk), Safari (3 days), Cape Town (3 Days), Winelands (2 days). We're worried that this might be a fair amount of travel for 2 weeks & don't want to get exhausted by the end of it.
Finally, is there anywhere else that would be lovely for an October honeymoon? Ideally a bit of beach & a bit of activity.
Ta,
Em

Hi Taryn,
there isn't lots of wildlife (thought the sacred monkey forest near Ubud is a fun experience!)...if you're into wildlife, want somewhere exotic and warm, then I'm thinking safari. I think it's around 10 hours to Kenya for example, a lot less than Bali...plus Kenya has a beautiful coast with white sand beaches, so you could have a few days on safari followed by lounging around on the beach for a week - perfect!
