... more on shoes than on a dress???

I got a second wedding dress to wear in the evening from monsoon and I've fallen in love with these shoes to go with it...

They're over twice what I paid for the dress... the way I see it, the shoes are so beautiful, I'll wear them again... and if I got a bargain on the dress I may as well splurge on the shoes - right??

Ha Ha!!! I thought I was the only one spending more on my shoes that the dress!

I seem to have fallen into BBB land, although that's mostly because the guest list is quite big. When you look at the 'average' wedding cost guide thingies in the wedding mags, I'm always astonished that if someone was spending £18K (?) on a wedding they only seem to put in about £65 for the shoes!!!!

You should definitely buy the shoes that you want. You'll wear them again and even if you don't, who cares? I am never judgemental about people's wedding choices on here - everyone has different tastes and budgets but I will go out on a limb here and say they're is nothing good about cheap shoes, they look horrible and they feel horrible (and I'm not talking about fabulous pain) just sweaty 'manmade' sweaty pain!!!!!!!!! I've had to seriously kerb my wardrobe spending since having children but I never, never compromise on shoes. I say go for it x

My shoes cost twice as much as my wedding dress and in my mind were money well spent - they have had several outings since I got married whereas the dress hasn't been out of the wardrobe since!

If you like the shoes and can afford them I say get them - you don't want to wander around on your wedding day thinking "I look fabulous, but if I'd bought those Ginas I'd look perfect"

Also, they're really beautiful shoes that you can wear again and again!

Did you really think anyone on BBB would tell you not to buy shoes though?

I think if you can justify it in your head you can do it...so I think you posting on here is you trying to justify it when you already have...so yes just buy them

My mum always says says you have to pay money for good shoes too
