Is anyone wearing a Pronovias dress??

Just wnted to find out if your wearing a Pronovias dress?? I am thinking of ordering Galante but its so different to what i orginally had in mind, what do you think??

I know how you're feeling though! I've ordered Pronovias Galatea for my wedding and every so often I think about how different the dress is and will people like it, but the important thing to remember is how YOU feel about the dress. I say if you like it go for it! Have you tried it on? x

Hi yeah i tried it on and fell in love!! I so didn't want anything that tucked under my bum and defo no straps but it just caught my attention as soon as I looked through the rails, it was a real long shot but the assistant said try it and i'm so glad I did. Your dress is so so beautiful, I haven't seen this one in the shop I went too. Don't you just love the chiffon, its so light.

Me too! I'm on the cusp of ordering galaxia but I don't know anyone else wearing it - its so different from what I thought I'd have but I took a punt and tried it on and fell in love! The new pronoviases in that floaty style are so unusual, I say go for it!!

I think both you ladies should definitely get the pronovias dresses you have in mind...both of them are beautiful! I think the reason I was drawn to pronovias was because they are quite different from any other (affordable!) designer. mrsrobson2b I wanted to try on Galante but they didn’t have it in the shop so you’re not alone in liking something a bit different.

I have been thinking how nice it would be to wear a veil but because my dress is quite modern I think it would look best without? Are you both planning on wearing one? x

Hi ladies, you have both reasurred me about the Pronovias dress, galante tucks under my bum so I tried on a veil that just reaches my lower back, it was a 3 tier and very 'pouffy' but it looked gorgeous, I really want to wear a cathedral length veil but because the dress has ruffles, I thought it might be too much, what do you think??

Another question, are you having bridesmaids?? If so what material are their dresses and what style have you gone for?? x x

You're right - there are squillions of beautiful dresses out there but picking the one that is really 'you' is so important!

I'm definitely having a veil and as the soft organza layers of Galaxia are edged with ribbon I'm going to go for a cathedral veil to match and cover the train of the dress. I tried one on in the shop and it completed the picture perfectly :\)

I'm having three bridesmaids but not at all sure on the style yet - maybe something with a floral appliqué and gathered across the body like my dress is... I'm hoping I'll walk into a shop and have a Eureka moment next spring!! We're having a garden party country sort of style wedding which I think the dress will be perfect for.

Ooohhh your veils sound lovely they will go so well with your dresses!!! I just can't think what sort of veil would look good with mine? That's why I was thinking of having white flowers on the side of my hairstyle instead.

I did order a different pronovias dress first of all as it looked lovely on but kept on thinking it wasn’t right somehow I went back and felt so much more confident and happy in Galatea so I knew it was the right decision.

In the new year my bridesmaids are going to try on a lovely chiffon dress with a dipped neck and backline and around the them are pretty roses - same colour as the dress. mostlysunny I think that would go very well! mrsrobson2b what dresses are you going for? x

I defo need to try on a cathedral length veil to just see what it looks like!! White flowers in your hair will look fab, the pronovias floaty styles really suit that look, was thinking of having flowers in my hair in the evening when i'll take my veil off for partying!! lol!!

As for bridesmaids dresses, i'm strugging a bit, I want to go for a contrast so I am going to see a dress maker tomorrow who will hopefully be making them for me.

I think I am going for silk cocktail style dresses with elements matching my dress, at the bottom of the dress I want a wide ivory chiffon panel, what do you think?? My older bridesmaids are going to be in a latte colour (minky/cream) and my daughters and flower girls in dusky pink

What do you think, any suggestions?? x x

I have searched up and down the country for this dress - which stockist did you order from and which town?

Do you have any pics of it with you in it? The reason I ask is that i cant find it anywhere and my only option now is to order it without trying it! Ive tried on loads of other dresses and none of them cut it - only got 6 months to go so need to get moving fast!

That is a lovely dress, congrats on finding the one! I am going for Pronovia Rania, it’s from this years collection. It’s a much plainer version of your beauty. Don't you just love these dresses?

Davou, I LOVE your dress... it's stunning! To be honest I love all pronovias dresses, to me there's just something about them that makes them stand out. x

I agree, I think Pronovias dresses are great. I went to loads of shops trying things on but none of the other makes felt like they were made as well or with such luxurious fabric.

I was choosing between Ronda and Rania (2009 range) and went for Rania in the end. Before I went to Pronovias I thought I had fallen in love with another dress which was similar to Rania but when I went back I was amazed how much cheaper it looked and felt.

Plus I like that the Pronovias sizes are not as ridiculously small as some other designers. I know the size doesn't really matter but its a bit depressing to order a size 16 when I normally wear a 10-12. With pronovias I fitted into the 12 but we have ordered a 14 just to be on the safe side. Much more like it!
