hiya ladies, am just wondering if anyone is interested in starting a weight loss group on here to help motivate each other to lose weight??

heres me......
Im 25 and would ideally like to lose 2 stone (more if poss) before september next year and im really committed to doing it as i dont want to waddle down the aisle or have a double chin in every photo!
my dress is hanging in my spare room and currently is too small so im really committed to doing this!
but im soooooo weak lol
im currently eating healthy and going on wii fit every other night for 30 minutes and using my treadmill also to burn summore cals.
ive been on wii fit and my treadmill tonight and burned 400 calories alone so am trying!
i think if i eat my daily calorie intake then exercise too, i should shift some poundage lol

does anyone else want to contribute and help each other out??
hehe

Me too!!

I don't want to lose too much, about 1/2 stone to a stone tops, however I am terrible at getting motivated and have been putting it off!!

I too do the Wii Fit every other night, and going to join the off peak gym which means I can go anytime from Friday evening to Sunday evening and take advantage of all their classes and facilities. My H2B goes to the same gym so we'll keep each other motivated.

Perhaps we could do a weekly weigh in on the same day and share our losses etc to help keep us on track? x

me too. I`d like to drop a dress size, I don`t know what that will be in weight as I don`t seem to fit the normal model.

I`m 5ft 4 and currentkly weigh 13 stone trousers size 14 tops anywhere from 12-18 depending on style and boob allowance. x

I know what you mean EmmyLou, I'm 5ft 8 and approx 12 stone atm, I'm usually a size 14 but tops and dresses it depends on shops generosity in the boob area - normally I have to go a size bigger on top as they just don't allow enough room!!

Trousers depending on shop I can be anything from 12-16, so annoying!! xx

Me please! I started in September by cutting down portion sizes, trying to eat more healthily and joined 2 exercise classes (which I have attended religiously) and have lost half a stone since then - but now it's starting to slow down and I'm finding it hard to lose any more.

I would like to lose another stone really - I also have my dress and it's too small round the middle, would love to be able to go to my fitting and not need it letting out!

I'd love it if anyone has any healthy recipes and exercise tips? xx

Mrs.rich - I think it's great to get support and have the motivation to do it! I'm hoping to tone my arms and stomach (and legs and butt haha) but I keep pushing it until after christmas. I know it's a cliche but I think it's too tough around the holidays. I have motivation issues so any form of holiday temptation is enough to get me to off the wagon!

I've asked Santa for a Wii Fit for Christmas - do you think it's a good programme to stick to? I hope it will work for me as I play on the Wii all the time anyway!

Good luck everyone - let's stick to the plan! xx

Wow great work Ceri!

I agree about it being hard over the hols - it's all that Baileys and chocolates and mince pies which people keep offering! Too tempting!

Wii fit sounds really good - can you set up exercise plans and stuff then? And does it track your progress?

I really recommend joining exercise classes too - mine are both really good, and the instructor doesn't let you slack! I push myself much more than I do in the normal gym bit - it's too tempting to go for a leisurely stroll for 20 mins on the treadmill instead of doing any actual exercise!

If anyone wants a bit more of a workout on their wii than the wii fit, I have the EA Sports Active which is really good - you can do different exercises without having to stop and start all the time. http://www.amazon.co.uk/EA-Sports-Active-Personal-Trainer/dp/B001QTVY18

I need to get back into the habit of doing it but its so hard when wedding stuff is more so much more interesting lol.

When I was a gym member, the classes were the best for me also (I didn't really know what I was doing with all the machines!!) xxx

Hi Ladies

I get married the 7th Sept in Rhodes.

I started trying to lose weight in August, I then joined weightwatchers in October and overall have lost 17pounds.

I still have a bit to go as wanna lose another 10 pounds, weightwatchers was a good begining but not been for 3 weeks (trying to do it alone as found it hard to get to the meeting on an evening.

I also have a wii so i am using that, think the hardest thing is going to be maintaining it.

I'm sure we will all be able to do it (we will be slim brides!!)
