What gifts did you and your Groom exchange on the big day???

As the subject says..What gifts did you give eachother, if any? I'm thinking about having some Bridal Boudoir Pics done and presenting him with the album on the day but not sure yet. Don't think my groom has any idea what to get me as he has been pushing for me to give him some hints! Haven't a clue what i want, was thinking maybe a necklace??

Also, what time of the day did you exchange gifts? We have about a 45min break between the wedding breakfast and the start of the evening do, so i thought that could be a good time for us to slope off and do it, what do you think?

Hey, me and my hubby exchanged gifts during the speeches!

He got me a pandora bracelet (which we also got our bridesmaids as gifts!)
he also got me a juicy couture handbag,
a liverpool top with MRS XXXXXXXX 09 on the back and
a tiffanys necklace with a key/heart diamond charm with a card saying the key to my heart is yours forever.

I got him a certificate from Man utd wishing us luck for our day which I framed and
booked us a 2 night break away to watch utd play including all our transport, hotel and meals (he has never been to see them before!)

Originally we said we werent going to spend alot and had said no more than £100 each but we didnt stick to it!! ha ha

wow, you got some great pressies! I was torn between a hot air balloon ride and the Bridal Boudoir shoot but think i'm going to go for the photoshoot as it's something he can keep forever!

as we got married 3 weeks before Christmas we decided to make our gifts more FUN as we would be spending money on each other later on..

I brought hubby - socks with Cxxxx, so you don't get cold feet embroided on them (ebay) and a Minnesota vikins American Football top

I received - a chocolate fountain and a 'how to be a good wife guide'.....flowers.....

we loved them !!!!!!

He gave me a huge and I mean huge arrangement of flowers which should have been delivered to my room while I was getting ready but with one thing and another (and a very long story) I wasn't in my room so I never got them until after the meal.
I gave him a photo album I had made of myself growing up with pictures starting off with me as a baby and then a little girl and into my teens. The last picture was of me in my dress taken at the dressmakers. I gave it to him during the hour between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. I called it 'This Is Your Wife'.

I got a beautiful gold and diamond necklace, and got him a bottle of rare whisky. We exchanged gifts the night before the wedding x

I love the "This is your wife" idea, what a fab gift and different too! We're looking at gifts that aren't going to cost a fortune for the wedding day, and are going to be a little more extravagant on our first anniversary x

I got a 'Love Is' personalised story book for Hubby. ('Love Is' the little cartoon from the papers, see www.itsyourstory.co.uk)

Anyway you get to add your favourite restaurant, birthday dates, favourite foods etc and it is worked into the story with your names on the front cover of the book.

Hubby couldn't believe it, and was touched! For a laugh I also got him some 'Groom' underpants and socks.

When I left the house the day before the wedding to go to my parents I left his gifts on our bed with a card for him.

I got nothing!!!!!!!!!!!! I put together a little bag of goodies for hubby to open the night before with pants on with the date of our wedding on them, socks, cufflinks, aftershave, chocolate heart....but I realised pretty soon that he had no intention of buying me anything, so I didn't bother getting him anything special! We spent enough on the wedding and the honeymoon etc, plus we got our wedding rings, etc, so it doesn't bother me

I'm doing a boudior shoot for my OH so he will get that plus i've put together a box of goodies for him - groom socks, !/2 bottle of champagne for him & best man to share, Groom mints, Groom tissues, T-shirt saying under new management (just married) going to find some nice boxer shorts to put in there to. I'm also going to write him a lovely card with sloppy stuff in it. (he's a really emotional person so he may cry, lol)

Oh there are some really lovely ideas on here. Really love the "thsi is your wife" book. How fab.

I am hoping to give him a photo book from http://www.photoloveletter.com. I will get the best man to give this to him the morning of the wedding and then during the speeches I want to give him one of these with our married name on..

I got my hubby a watch and a letter from Manchester United footbal club congratulating us.
I received a diamond eternity ring.

We're having a big honeymoon so decided not to get each other much, I think I'm going to make a kind of scrapbook album for him starting from when we first met as teenagers, and a couple of snippets of things we wrote to each other, I think I've also kept a couple of tickets from first dates and things too so I'll put those in too x
