Hi,

This is a question that often crops up on here.

I don't believe in seating photographers with the wedding party as they aren't guests.

It is common practice though to provide a meal of some sort for them. We've 2 photographers too and we're supplying them with a meal in the restaurant or bar area. x

Yes I agree with Misty, you should provide them with food but not with your wedding party!

i am providing my photographers the same food as us and they are also sitting with us, i personally think its rude to sit them elsewhere.

Im glad this question has been asked as i was wondering the same!

I think i am going to speak to my venue and see what the "norm" is.....i wouldn't want to offend my photographer by sitting him away from everyone but then he might want an hour or so on his own away from all the hussle anyway!

We provided a meal for our photographer but not the full blown wedding breakfast one. If they are there all day I think it's only polite. Quite a few photographers we spoke to were all very grateful at the idea of some hot food on the day, especially as they would potentially working for over 7 hours.

Our photographer knew our venue very well so he just sat in the kitchen with the chef. Gave him a break, time to check over his equipment etc...

You don't need him to sit with your guests - after all he's not a guest but working.

We asked our photographer what the norm was (we had a very good relationship with her) and she said that normally she didn't like to take very many photographs over the wedding breakfast as people tended to enjoy a little privacy when eating.

This kind of made our minds up that we would sit our photographer with the wedding party and serve her a full wedding breakfast and drinks package....and it was great, she had a brilliant time, we had a brilliant time and she didn't end up leaving the party until midnight!! I would have felt bad sitting her alone somewhere and considering she spent over 12 hours with us that day, she needed a proper dinner!

As you have 2 photographers and you are working to a budget they could keep each other company if you sat them else where too
