Hello there,
My colour theme is pink, chocolate and ivory but also my fiance and i are musical so we have to have this somewhere.
For our favours i am making cookies and the cutter will be a quaver note. Our table names are also going to be composers. I am also hoping to get a music themed cake topper!
I have seen really inspiring musical centre pieces for the table and also small musical instruments such as tambourines etc as favours and place names attached. I have also seen end of pews decorations which are musical wrapping paper shaped into a cone with petals/flowers in the top, with ribbon attached so as to be able to hang on the end of pews.
www.projectwedding.com might have some ideas.

For centerpieces...how about getting some old 12" vinyl records as the base? There are loads of seconds hand stored dotted around the country.
Also you could use vinyl records as placemats and put yuor guests' names in the middle. You can buy white label records so you can write or print a label to go in the middle. Do you like that idea?

you can make bowls out of old records they're quite easy, heres a link to show you http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Bowls-out-of-Vinyl-Records you can fill them with sweets or water glass beads etc, we had music cd's as favours with a history of our relationship told through the songs, they were really cheap to make and we had a cartoon of us on the front. Or what about small "trivia" cards on the table with guess the song ly

thanks for all the great ideas keep them coming came across some more ideas here goes
confetti cones made out of sheet music,
instead of a order of service we shall have a "play list",
our table plan will be named after iconic artist such as MJ, with pics of us dressed as the artist .
our videographer is going to make a music video starring the guests,
i cant decided on favours its between a tamborine or a tree, as i got him a tree for valentines day we planted in loch lomand. he said it was the best present he's had and we still go visit it and watch it grow, sounds like cheese but we love it

I once went to a wedding where the table plan was past and poresent big band albums, and each table had the album cover on it. There was a wide range from U2 to The Kooks
This was SUCH a fab odea, and looked super cool. I was veyr jealous!

We went to a wedding recently and the band Party Siempre (which were superb) played an 80s themed set as well as a normal dance-set. We're trying to book them for our event! They are at www.partysiempre.com.

me and h2b wanted to have music themed in somehow. we are having rock band album covers from Kings of leon (his fav) to guns n roses (my fav). We may just use the covers or my have some pics done holding them not sure yet!!!!
