Our budget seems to be going ok, at the moment.
We've bought quite a lot and we're way under budget for it so far.
In terms of saving for the wedding, we're paying the deposit for the venue and caterers in the next few months and the caterers package includes a lot we would otherwise have to get so saving some money there. H2b will be the only one working full time as I go back to uni in a few weeks so we're hoping to buy the rest of the little things each month and when I finish uni we'll save like mad to pay off the remainder of the things still to be paid.
We're also decided to not get each other as much for birthdays/xmas etc over the next couple of years as we tend to go a little mad so the extra money will go towards the wedding.
I'm also putting away £1 each day into a little tin I can't open so will have over 1k in that by the time the wedding arrives so we're using that for the hotel we'll be staying in for a few days after we get married and our first meal in our fav restaurant as man and wife.

sounds good Mrs coyle to be, re u going on a honey moon straight away? our budget has gone up a little more, cos the yr of the wedding some bills go which is good, but at the moment we are putting 50 away a month, and then starting in august its 190 so we will have about 4800 by the time the wedding is here x

We won't be going on honeymoon more a minimoon. H2b is a teacher so we can only go away when he's on holiday so we'll just be going away to a nice hotel for the weekend of the wedding.
We were chatting yesterday and have decided to change the date to the Fri 23rd of Nov, due to his uncles commitments as a priest and maybe not being able to get to the wedding if we have it on the Sunday, so it give us the whole weekend to be together before he needs to go back to work. We'll probably have our honeymoon maybe during the xmas holidays. x

Have you tried cutting down on anything? Or seeing if you can get things cheaper by looking on ebay? I got my swarovski handmade tiara on ebay for less than £40. Also got my shoes from there (brand new). To be honest, we've bought most of the things we've bought so far from ebay. There's no way we would have been able to spend what we have for what we've got.
Are you good at diy? Maybe make your own invites or get them from vistaprint? Register with vistaprint and they'll send you free emails every day. Only need to pay postage and you can design your own? We got our save the dates by doing this.

Other option is getting a part time job? Obviously don't know what you do just now so might not be possible. Maybe try selling some of your own things on ebay? I know some ladies on here and done so and made quite a bit. I sold some things and made a few hundred. x

Here is my budget broken down, can you see anything wrong?
Church 670
Reception 6100
Photos 1300
Video 900
Cake 400
Dress 2000
Suit hire 300
Bridesmaids 400
Flowers 500
Entertainment 300
Cars 600
Coach 500
Rings 1500
Veil 100
Favours 80
Hotel 200

You seem to have everything on there that's necessary. It's just the reception that's making it so tight. Is that including all decorations, day and evening food etc?
How about trying to find a cheaper veil? I got mine with swarovski sparkles for less than £20. I did take a chance on a seller from china though but it was perfect, 2 tier cathedral length which can be turned into a 1 tier elbow length for after the ceremony.
Can you get your rings any cheaper?
What favours you having? Could you settle for organza bags filled with sweets? We're having organza bags filled with personalised m&ms. A little different from the normal sweets and adds a personal touch.
The church is charging quite a lot too but guess there's nothing you can do about that.
How about the coach? Can you get that any cheaper? Where you based? I know there's a website you can put in what you're looking for and the supplier can give you quotes. Kind of like a bidding for your business type thing....can't remember what the website's called right enough.
Have you though of getting your bridesmaid dresses handmade or from China? How many are you having? I found this site. Might work out a little less than £400 depending on how many you're having -

Also, have you included your hair and make up and if you're paying for your bridesmaids too?

Hope this helps. :\)

ps are you getting real flowers or artificial? You might be cheaper getting artificial and it means you'll have your bouquet to keep. :\)
