hi just throught i would post i was going to have lottery tickets and now i have seen a company that will do favours, 3 tier cake, chir covers, all top table decorating, centre pieces and cameras and cake table decorating. so i am going to have the package as i wont have to do anything they will go and set it all up and take it away so im really pleased. however i may just add lottery tickets as we are only having 45 adults for the meal so it will just cost £45 extra

i am really pleased with the package i carnt book it for another 18 months and i am itching to do it X

You could spend a fortune on them but the way I'm looking at it is, alot of people don't even take them, they are left lying on the table at the end of the night and alot of the things that may look lovely (bottle corks, keyrings etc) are going to be thrown in a drawer somewhere and never lookad at again so don't waste loads of money on them, it's not even really necessary to have them to be honest x

I was thinking of having personalised cookies made for favors wich would also double up name places.

My sister got married last year and she bought plain wine glasses from asda then used colured squeezy glue to put the guests names onto glasses so these also doubled up as name places! this worked out really cheap and looked great everyone was well impresed with our idea!

I agree, Huni. That's why we're just having the organza bags too. We decided we'd rather spend more money elsewhere rather than buy expensive favours. :\)

You can do so many differnt things. I don't think you need to spend more than £1 on each favour.. I think thats enough! Organza bags or little card boxes filled with chocolates/ sweets are the cheapest way.. probably about 50p each. Or get people to save little glass jars for you (small ones from mustard & apple sauce & things) then you only need to buy the sweets and maybe spray paint the lids to match your colour theme or use material. Some websites have little tin boxes or small photo frames for less than £1 each with these you can attatch a gift tag with the person's name so it doubles up as a place name too.

How about those Lindor chocolates, toy can get those assorted ones in different coloured wrappers? Or Green & Blacks chocolate squares individually wrapped. Ferrero Rocher. Loads of places online sell chocolate hearts in different coloured foil too.
