Subject: 1st try on of dress
Well I finally got up to try my dress on for the first time. I love the dress, just maybe not on me as I am too big for it and it draws attention to all my biggest bits. I was having a bit of a dress wobble but have now just decided to get my head down and get a few stone off. The model looked gorgeous in it - i just hope it will look better on me when I slim down a bit. I have until the middle of May before my fitting so hopefully when i post pics again from then they will look much better. I think I will have my hair done before then too to get a better idea. Let me know what you think. I would appreciate any comments.

Hello
Just noticed your thread........I'm also getting married in July and have this dress too!
I think your pics look lovely - no way do you have a 'few stone' to loose - from where??
I've been having some wobbles too. Went to try my dress on about a fortnight ago and feeling a bit better now. Think I'm more worried about the way I look rather than the dress (ie need to loose weight)
Are you having a veil? What type of underskirt are you wearing?

Oh hun I think you look lovely! You've got a lovely shape and that dress is really pretty. Normal to have dress wobbles xxx

Realistically by May you can probably lose about a stone if you stick to a diet, But the dress looks absolutely fine, have you got an underskirt on? If so I think you could afford to go for a bigger one so that the dress falls more like it does in the models picture. Don't stress though, you look lovely x

Wow! You look stunning hun, the dress gives you an amazing shape and the colour really suits your skin tone. There's no way you need to lose weight as far as I can see, though you need to be happy in yourself.

I think you look fabulous in that dress. Please remember that all these models are unnaturally thin.

I think it looks great too (and, if I'm honest I wasn't a big fan of that dress on the model but it really looks good on you!!)

Anyone got any idea what type of underskirt for this kind of dress?

Charlottelf - you sound like you've got knowledge in this - how 'big' an underskirt could you go? Hoops? how many? Which jupon number?

The first pic of me in the shop sample looked terrible - and I think it was because I had no underskirt underneath - made it look saggy and kinda deflated if you know what I mean?!!

Sorry hun, I don't know much about the underskirts, but looks like a fairly big one needed. Do they have some in the shop you could try with your dress, if not I'm sure they'll be able to advise you. Or you could email the designer?

Okay, thanks.....the shop gave me one when I was trying on my dress but I didn't get a note of the number or type. It was a jupon and £60 but that's all I know.
Hmmm...contacting the manufacturer is a good idea - think I'll try that next.

Thanks again!

Wow-that dress looks so pretty on. I think you look better wearing it than the model does!
