I also have curly hair and got fantastic tongs off the internet - they are like the ones you often see peole demonstrating in places like Debenhams - just a long round barrel and no clip - you wind the hair round them with your fingers. They are really effective but very very hot - I burnt my fingers on them a lot in the beginning. BUT I have just looked at them and there is no brand name on them anywhere!!!!
Sorry that wasn,t very useful was it??

Hiya, I've got quite wavy hair and I just put in large heated rollers. Leave it for a good hour while getting ready and then you get lovely big curls.

I have GHD straighteners and just use those to curl any few stray hairs I've missed. Will say if you want to use straighteners to curl your whole head of hair you've got to have quite a bit of patience because you can't do big chunks of hair for it to hold.

Do recommend GHDs though - never had anything quite as good as them x

I have tried countless different curling tongs and finally got some that I love!! They are by Mark Hill and are pink leopard print!! They have different heat settings depending on the thickness of your hair. They were from boots at christmas. Highly recommended!! x

I swear by my tongs I got from boots 15 years ago fro 7 quid he he...seriously there is nothing else like them and I would never pay big money for them...

...I had my hair dyed brown last week and I wanted to invest in some 'jumbo' tongs just for nice bouncy waves and I can totally recommend Toni & Guy jumbo 38mm tongs for £24.99 very good indeed!

I want to scond nightbird0105 .... I have the Jose Eber tong, I think mine is 25mm and is the best one ever! It takes seconds and stays in, my friend whos hair never stays in stayed in the whole night and perfect the next morning when she used them.
I got mine off ebay though, in Selfridges they were £90 and I got the same ones off ebay for £30!

You can curl using GHDS - search on the internet for a demo showing how. Its pretty simple and gives the best results i've found as it stays in really well.

Failing that - Carman girls angel hair tongs are good.
