After reading 'What was No1 when you were born' over on General Chat, I feel REALLY old now!!

Most of the other brides were born to my record collection!!

Do you think our age will be reflected in our wedding playlists?

After reading that thread, I reckon mine probably will. Still, it won't be any different from any other of our family dos.

Sally I'm so hi-jacking!!

.... I'm 23 and my OH is 24 but we both have our dad's/grandad's musical taste!!! he's more 'old rock' - rolling stones, pink floyd etc (which i also love)

and I'm a bit 'music hall' vera lynn, frank sinatra etc etc

.... as well as more modern cheese! : )

I think it's good to have a playlist that represents all generations as you're going to have a complete mix attending a wedding - !

- so don't feel old!! (plus you don't look it - i've seen you in your dress and you look amazing lady!!)

My bit of the playlist will be heavily 90s indie/grunge oriented, yes... *ahem*

I'm 27 and my h2b is 29 on Sunday and we're having a MoTown and Funk band to play at the reception, with an iPod in between sets playing 80's - current music. We're trying to cater for everyone. x

We well had lots of American Song book during our reception - Cole Porter, Gershwin etc... I might be an older bride/mrs now but I sure as heck wasn't born during the 1920s! I just love that genre of music.

For the evening do we told our dj to play a variety of music as we have wide taste. I love motown - maybe because I'm a 60s baby? so we had lots of that plus Beach Boys and Beatles but then loads of 80s and 90s stuff too. Really eclectic choices there.
