I'm really confused
Is it possible for a man to be allergic to the contraceptive pill if it is being taken by the woman he is sleeping with ?
someone's told me (a lad) that he is allergic to the pill,and that if we were to sleep together it'd effect him and me chemically, but it wouldn't if i didn't take my pill for three days-
I'm really wondered whether i'm being a total loon or is this tripe?

Sounds a little silly - I would have thought the pill would be far too dispersed through your system to have any effect on him. Plus there are so many different types of pill too...

I cant see how your medication can affect him, the pill only changes your hormones, it doesnt excrete out of anywhere, so it cant come in contact with him.

Let me tell you now he is talking %&*$#. The pill is female hormones, which you naturally produce, if he he was actually allergic to the pill he would be allergic to ALL women. The hormones would be as much in your saliva as any fluid produced during sex, non traceable amounts! so if he can kiss you it is not a problem
Why would you want to sleep with someone who sounds like he wants to get you pregnant. Alway use condoms when you are sleeping with someone new they could have any STD!!!

Actually the hormones used in the pill are synthetic, and some women do end up breaking out in hives because of it.
Hello, it sounds like nonsense to me too and there's no point taking the pill if you're going to stop taking it for a few days at the time, because then it won't work! If he's still concerned, maybe you can both go to the doctor together and discuss it with them?
Never heard of this and think he is pulling yiur leg. What I don't get is what he will gain out of it apart from possible fatherhood!! Condoms all the way.
