Girlies,

When do u reckon I should have my hair trimmed before the wedding?

Date is 7th June and last time I had a trim was my birthday 1st Dec. I also dye it myself with Nice and Easy but do u think I should invest in some salon treatment this time? I dont really want to as am more than fine doing it myself so if I continue to do so when should I next dye it?

I dont want me in my wedding pics to have rootage

iam having a trim before we go away,just to get rid of the dead ends and if your happy with colouring your hair your self i dont see no reason why not to do it yourself,will save you some money

i also do my own hair and iam thinking of colouring it maybe 3-4wks before we go

If I do it that far away rom the wedding I feel I will have slight rootage which I dont want! Then if I do it say a couple of days before I dont want the sun too make it white! x

Hi there, my sister was a beauty therapist until she went into finance and she's doing my make-up on the day. I asked her about when to get my final trim and highlights before the big day and she said 2 weeks. That way, if anything goes horribly wrong (e.g. accidentally use blue dye) then enough time to sort it out, enough time for it to settle down and no rootage. I've booked my salon appointment for exactly 2 weeks before. Maybe ask your salon next time you have a trim if you're still unsure? xx

Ooo thanks hun! I dont really have a salon tbh. I used to but then moved away from the area and she was FAB. Maybe I will visit her for this one time . . . at band camp . . . sorry! I'm going mad today! x

I would say 2 weeks b4 or so to let your hair settle a bit

take it your blonde hun? If you do it too close then the pool can sometimes turn it green eeeek

but if your afraid of sun turning it white then go a shade darker

I will prob do this

I am naturally very blonde but made a huge mistake when I was 21 of going completely dark brown and it never went the same again so from then started dyeing it.

We arrive in Cyprus and get married exactly a week from then so u reckon I should do it 2 wks before going or 2 weeks before the wedding? x

hi hun i defo reckon 2 wks before, i have read quite recently that this gives your hair to settle, and any later than two weeks will make it prone to chlorine probs if that makes sense xx
