I don't think it is tacky but I went to three weddings with scratch cards and lottery tickets and no-one won anything at all. You have to be prepared for this!!

to be totally honest, I kind of do, but at the same time I really wouldn't care if I went to a wedding and they had them. I wouldn't be thinking, "how tacky" or anything. I just wouldn't choose to have them myself.

i think theres so many clever and creative things to pick from now a days that it seems a bit 'easy'. although if i were to win a milion i'd be all for it! x

Not at all, I think it's a favour that adds a bit of fun rather than something your guests would be expecting, like sweets for example - nothing wrong with sweets or chocolate but I think scratch cards/lottery tickets add a bit of fun - and excitement when the lottery draw is done etc!!

I would appreciate anything to be honest, dont think people should have the right to complain!!! I say a great idea but do you want anything your guests can keep?

i think its a nice idea, especailly if someone was to win. its not what people would expect either. if you both want to do it, go for it. and it saves all the hassle of making your own

We're having scratch cards and a lucky shiny penny and putting them in a little booklet with 'lucky in love....' on the front.
I don't think they're tacky at all. I've been to several weddings over the passed few years and have had lots of different favours and i've found that the majority of things get left on the table (however long they've taken the bride/groom to make). Yes the scratch cards that aren't winners would get left on the table, but at least there's a chance of someone winning something which in my eyes is better than a couple of chocolates in a box, but i feel it's completely up to the bride and groom. At the wedding that gave us the scratch card idea, it was really good fun watching everyone on our table scratching there's and there were a few small wins (some even just £1/£2) and a few whoops across the room which was great fun.

Hey I've got stratch cards from the local hospice I volunteer at so it is a bit more meaningful. So worst case I've donated to a cause that I like. But I think they will b a bit of fun and even if a little tacky. My wedding is gonna be very chilled out anyhow!! Xxx
