Hi all,
So!

We have set a date to get married, its Aug 5th 2011. We would really like an outside wedding with some lovely grounds and a huge marquee which will hold the ceremony and then when we are having the photos taken, the tables will be placed (pre set up). We are wanting a catering company to supply us with a wedding breakfast bbq! but im havin issues with finding grounds to have it. Im in the newmarket area, but would travel a little distance, ie cambridge/ suffolk areas.
Does anyone know of a site i can view grounds that are available to hire or any other tips and hints to finding our perfect venue?

Thanks x

You can't have a legal ceremony in a marquee, it needs to be a permanent, licensed building. You could get married at a registry office then have a commitment type ceremony in a marquee.

Hi

I'm getting married in suffolk and having a reception at a gorgeous private house with lovely grounds - there is even a moat around the house with a couple of swans swimming on it! We are putting up a huge marquee that will seat about 140 people on one of the lawns. I am not sure if they have a license for the wedding itself though, we are getting married in a local church. The venue is called Boxted Hall and is just outside Bury St Edmunds.

We are having a BBQ and using a company called JLS. We had a tasting a few weeks ago and the food was delcious. I can't wait until I get to eat it again!

Please don't stress - you've got plenty of time and things always seem to fall into place! Good luck!
