Has anyone used or using The Venue Dresser in Hyde??

Would love to hear about the above venue dresser, Lots of mixed reveiws, my original venue dresser went bump and these have offered to take over the order. Would like some opinions if anyone knows of them, the might also be know as The UK Wedding Company.

am new to the forum but saw your post about the venue dresser in hyde...I'm using them for my wedding this summer...to be honest am not very impressed so far! they never answer the phone and I am yet to see my centrepieces!! have you had a better experience?

I've heard of them, lots of reviews on them on here I'm not too sure about them really & the whole royales buisness. I have a good venue dresser http://www.divinedesigns.info based in north west, they are always on hand to help!.x.x.

will have a look at them..i might just have to look for another venue dresser! i went to the wedding fayre at trafford centre in Feb and they couldnt get rid of me fast enough! they came up with a dodgy story abt the centrepieces (they had told me months ago that they had ordered them from china and said they would be on display at the fayre..they clearly we'rent there!) id like to see the reviews posted here...where can i see them?

It might be worth having a look else where if you havent paid a deposit or anything! they must be hiding something there, trying to get rid of you they must be afraid of getting caught out? I saw lots of topics about them on here a while ago, if you try and do a search for 'the venue dresser' using the search bar on the top of the page you should find them (: .x.x.

We went to see them at Trafford Centre as they told me to.
When we got there they seemed to unorganised........
Told Peter that we had booked with Royles and asked if they could take our booking on in which he sounded quiet confident about doing.
He said he would email me a quote etc.... Here I am still waiting! We have paid £100 deposit but im just going to right it off. If they arent getting back to me now then I cant see them turning up on the day and that would be a nitemare!!! Got an appointment with Fairie godmothers next week who seem ok, at least they reply to emails.... And even tho we are loosing our deposit its costing us less than we were paying before

I paid £150 deposit last year. I dont think i want to risk it might have to count my losses and get a new company. I think I will report them to trading standards only that am not sure they have committed a crime yet. I have a very bad feeling about them!

You know it makes me so cross....... Why do this type of job if you dont give a monkies!! I thought we were getting fobbed off because we were an ex Royles customer but if you booked with them direct then it must just be the way they are. Where are you having your wedding? Will try recommend someone for you

am having it in Chester 06/08/10...i dont think they should be allowed to trade to be honest am sure there's more people like me and you out there! I am on a really tight budget as it is without all this happening! my h2b will not be impressed!!!

Like you say, when youve got a budget to stick to the last thing you want is to be screwed over!!!
We are getting married at Crewe Hall on 1/10/10. Going to see a venue dresser who is based in Whychwood, not that far from Chester. They are called Fairie Godmothers. Have a look and see what you think. They have reduced chair covers price as a gesture with that company going bump.
Hope you get sorted, I know how upsetting it can be

My venue dresser is very good, she's got a unit in Denton, she's called Karen and she's lovely!!! Her work is good from what I've seen too, would you like her details?? x
