I HATE my dress with pics

I went to the hospital today to have pics taken with my dad, he can't come to the wedding as he is too sick. I've been looking back through the pics and I HATE my dress. I wasn't keen on it in the shop but was accepting it. I'm a size 8 with a 26 inch waist but it makes me look like I have no waist!!!

can you have it fitted soit pulls you in more at the waist? seamstresses can work wonders

I like the dress but you do not look happy in pic

even with the not so happy face I still think you look stunning, your skin is amazing.
Maybe take it too seamstress and explain what you are not happy about.

I'd say it looks a wee bit too big at the top of your tummy - just under your bust. If you get that taken in it'll look fab, its a gorgeous dress!

Is there no way you can change it? You've got a fab figure, I do feel the dress looks like it swamps you a bit but like someone else said a seamstress could do something? x

Your face says it all hun...actually I like the dress very much ...has it been laced up properly or it may be slightly big round the middle thats all...x

This was after the 4th fitting to try and fix the waist which before was puckering on the zip side. The whole dress just seems too big for me including the bust. I lifted my arms in the shop today and my boobs popped out!!! I have another fitting next week.

Can I ask a wee bit of a personal question - are you wearing a strapless bra under your dress? When I initially tried on my dress when chosing it I didn't have a bra on and I felt very flat chested. I then went back at a later date and tried it on again with a strapless bra and what a difference it made. It gave me more shape.

Just a thought! Apart from that I love your dress, veil & headdres.

4 fittings? it is a lovely dress but perhaps take it to someone else? A good seamstress can do anything with a dress. You need to be comfortable and happy in your dress, it is a pretty gown xxx

Hi Rofus, I am sorry you are having second thoughts about your dress. For what its worth I think it does show your waist. Maybe try another seamstress.

I agree with Wedding Monster GET A NEW SEAMSTRESS!! It IS a gorgeous dress, and suits your figure perfectly. I can't beleive you've had any fittings let alone 4?!! WTF? are you sure it's a proper seamstress? I'm not but I can sew and even I can see what needs doing?! Honey please don't get ideas that it is not the dress for you, because it so is! You've just been let down. Source a new seamstress PRONTO!!! My dress shop said they'll charge me for one fitting, after that it's their mistake, but will never have more than 3 to make it perfect, and even knowing I'm a perfectionist!
Please take it to someone else, it is your dream dress and is only a few stitches away....

Sorry Rufus20, I totally missed your message about having 4 fittings. That is outrages that the seamstress hasn't got it right. There's no way your boobs should be popping out your dress. I'm no expert but the bridal shop I'm getting my dress from said that your dress should be fitted snuggly round your bust with no chance of popping out.

I would definitely try another seamstress - quickly. Good luck x

the dress is gorgeous, very similar to mine, and like the other ladies said, change your seamstress, it shouldnt need for fittings and still not fit correctly!!! xx
