Subject: SHOULD I GROW OUT MY FRINGE??
My hairdresser has said I should grow out my fringe as that's what everyone does when they get married. But I have had a fringe forever - always... My hair is shoulder length but am trying to grow it in time for August so I can have an updo. Do you think I should grow it out or does anyone have any updo images with a fringe? All the google images have no fringe. Trouble is side fringes drive me mad - although not sure if it'll settle in but have had to resort to gripping it back, which looks rubbish!! What shall I do? Advice please!!!!! x
P.S when I say my hairdresser, it's a new one so someone else will do my wedding hair... Nat Bartram if anyone knows her.

I had a finge for my wedding. albeit a side one. If you have always had a finge then I would imagine it is part of who you are and without it would you feel like you and how would H2B feel seeing you with no fringe. You could try a number of different styles with and without finge (pinned back) to see which ones you like best to help with your decision. ANyway look forward to seeing some trial pics when you have them! xx

I too have a fringe and so many people have been like "it'd be nice to have a side fringe for the day" - why? Its always there and I'd probably be fiddling with it all day!!

I think I'll ask my stylist to try both options at the trial to see what looks best, however I'm sure most hair styles online can be adapted to incorporate a fringe.

Wait until you see your wedding stylist and ask her opinion - some people just look better with a fringe xxx

Why not try growing it out and then if you dont like it when it comes closer to your wedding you could just get it cut back in? x

I am also having the same dilemma. I like having a really short fringe but think its a bit too fashionable for wedding photos and will totally date them. I don't like side fringes cause they interfere with my glasses. I would be happy to have a longer fringe but although i like it in every day life I have a cows lick and it never sits right so I think it might just be a stress so might just pin it up but quiff it up a bit. But on the other hand I like my short fringe.... I don't know either!

I love this picture

Thanks girlies, I think I'll try both looks at the trial like you suggest (although the way I feel now will def be getting fringe back - I miss it!) and I'll let you know how it goes... At least I'll have the option and I'm LOVING the photo with the fringe FACET!! x

If you have always had a fringe then why change it for the wedding day! I will certainly be keeping mine and love the pic that facet put up

I tried a side fringe & it wouldn't fall right (apparantly I have a cow-lick?). So I grew it out, but when I looked at photos taken at xmas I felt that my forehead looked big and it didn't suit me. So I've had my fringe cut back in! You're right though it's so hard to find pics with fringes!
