My menu for end of July wedding - your opinions plz?

Our menue choices arent amazing (so I am a bit disappointed) but the venue certainly has the WOW factor!!! So I fell in love with it and booked it!

Give me your opinions please:

Starter:
Served with freshly baked bread and butter

Duo of melon - fanned cantaloupe & galia melon with seasonal berries & raspberry coulis

or

Leek and potato soup with herb croutons

Main course:
Served with a selection of fresh vegetables

Lemon Thyme Crisp Roast Chicken - breast of chicken with lemon & thyme accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes

Veg option :
Roasted veg on a puff pastry pillow - served with tomato, basil & garlic sauce

Dessert:
Fresh fruit pavlova - individual marshmallow meringue filled with whipped cream/ice cream and strawberry coulis

and

Wedding cake - 4 flavours:
Chocolate fudge
Victoria sponge
Lemon Drizzle
Banana cake with passionfruit filling

Evening buffet:
Mini cumberland sausages
Mini italian sausages
Spicy potato wedges
Mini veg pancake rolls
Cocktail sausage rolls
Margarita pizza
Breaded chicken goujons
Selection sof crisps
Large platters of cheese witrh grapes & celery
Selection of pickles
Selection of salami
Crusty breads, rolls & butter


Do you think this is okay, it is enough - We're having 50 ppl for the entire wedding (church & reeception)???

Sounds lovely! Starter and dessert both seem nice and summery and you've got a lot of choice for your buffet!

I think your menu sounds lovely.

But if there is something you really want and it isn't on the menu you could maybe ask the venue? Ours have been really flexible and we can change and add anything we want.

Yummy, i had leek and potatoe soup for a starter but mine was a Nov wedding,so was very warming.

Sounds yummy to me - I hate it when the food is overly fussy, especially canapes. Yours sound simple and delicious! x
