Hi, Im thinking of having a chocy fountain - does anyone have a rough guide of how much they cost to hire? x

Where are you based? I had several quotes and one was over £500. I then found the company I went with who are doing it for 300 - this includes an operator for 3 hours, 10 dipping items and enough chocolate for 150 guests!

We had 3 mini chocolate fountains which cost £300 from melting chocolate moments based in Colcester ( I think??) but I know they go Nationwide.

The company I went with are based in Surrey and I don't think they go nationwide. Good luck with your search - it gets boring but I bombarded every company I could find to get a quote.

Our venue can supply mini ones for us, it's costing us £30 per fountain plus £1.50 per person, with a max of 30 people per fountain. Works out so much cheaper than the fancy ones, but it won't look as impressive. It's still chocolate though!

I work at a hotel and I have seen them given for free to secure the buiness! You are looking at £2-3 pp. Ask them to include fudge, marshmellows, pinapple, strawberries, chocolate cookies, etc. Yum! Smallers ones are good as you can offer milk, dark and white chocolate.

I have seen quotes all over the place ranging from £300 to £500 in Notts.... you have to watch how long they actually operate the fountain... something like 2 hrs seems skinny for me.... 3/4 hrs sounds good to me for an evening reception.

If I can find one for £300 for 3 hrs then I will strongly consider getting one xx

Ours is £395 for a big one of milk choc and a smaller one for white choc and operated for 3 hours for 150 people xx

Ours is £300, was meant to be £400 but they were doing £100 off at the wedding fayre at the venue we went to two weeks ago.x
