Hi,
We get married next April. Is it too early to start thinking about getting my dress? I've been looking on the internet lots at different styles to see what I like and have made a list of wedding dress shops in my area. Can you just walk into a dress shop and look around? Or do you always have to make an appointment? What I really want to do is to look in the shops to see if they have the style I like and then make an appointment. Soz for all the questions!! I just don't want to look silly by walking into a shop and browsing x
yes you can go and have a look round but if you want to try dresses on then it probably be better to make a appointment,i also found it better (if you can) to make the appointment in the weekday as the places arnt as busy so will give you more time and its never too early to go and look for your dress, some places it can take 4-6 months to order your dress, good luck and have lots of fun
I would make an appointment...if you just walk in you take the chance that there's no one there to serve you properly because they are too busy. Just go for it and enjoy it, if you make an appointment and they don't have the styles you like you can always leave, but at least that way you make sure that you get a proper service. Even simple things like if they have shoes for you to try on in your size can make a big difference to the service that they provide. As the others have said, have fun!! xx
Maggie Sottero dresses are estimated 6 month delivery at my local shop so I say the sooner the better hun, defo make an appointment though and don't have set styles in your head because a lot of the time you go for something which isn't anything like what you imagined lol! Enjoy! x
I get married next April too, and I've just been for my 1st appointment today. It's also my last because I've found "THE ONE"! It was a dress I'd seen in a magazine a while back and I instantly fell in love with it. It was the 1st one I tried, and then I tried on quite a few but still went back to the 1st one. When I was talking to the lady, she said it's never too early. I've not ordered mine yet, I told her I'd go back in summer when I've lost some more weight and get measured then.
