Money as gifts

My sister in law is getting married and would like to receive money towards 1 large item. She would like people to be able to give anonymously and has asked me to be in charge of setting it up. Anyone have any ideas for the easiest way to do this? Many thanks. xxx :\)

I went to a wedding recently and the bride and groom wanted money also. They put in a little poem printed out inside the invite that explained in a nice way that they had everything they need and that money to move away was what they would like. I am not sure if they made it up or found it on the internet but I though it was a good idea. xx

We have just done this ourselves to go into our invites. We wrote a little poem and printed them onto card which we cut up to send out with the invites. We really want to move house and dont have any room or need to any pots and pans etc. So we would love people to contribute to that. Our poem is:-

If your thoughts were on a gift
To help us on our way
Your gracious presence is enough;
We’d just like to say!

There are not too many items now
We don't already own
But what we’d really love to do
Is move to a bigger home

So if you really feel the need,
To help us celebrate…
A contribution to our funds
We would appreciate

Our big day will soon be here
So we’d just like to say
We hope you come, enjoy yourselves
And have a lovely day
