Hi i got married last month and this was a problem i had, but in the end i bought loads of tunnocks tea cakes and filled a 5 tier heart shape cupcake stand. Everyone loved it, people were so amazed by something that was so simple and original. It looked fab and is still a talking point now x

I'm opting for a M&S cake. Three layers - 1 fruit and two sponge. I'm decorating with antique gold organza ribbon and ivory and gold rose cake toppers. All in £143. Cake on its on £92!

I got my cake from the Edinburgh Cake partnership, it was a 2 teir light sponge with a lemon filling and it was delicious. my guests went back for seconds and thirds. The cake was lovely, exactly what I asked for and only £175.00.

I did have a cutting fruit cake which wasn't displayed which a friend made for me to make sure i had enough but in fact i had loads - even with people having 2 bits.

I'm paying £80 for a 3 tier cake the exact way I want it with one fruit and two sponge. The woman who is making the cake is local and is going to set the cake up at the venue the night before the wedding which is fab at the price x

We're using sweet as...cakes for yours. For £250.00 she is doing 3 layers with different flavours and decorating with sugar thistles. She's also bringing it to the venue and setting up.

Mine is £150 for 3 tier cake, plus £41 for extras like a different ribbon, sugar flowers, etc, plus £30 for delivery (only cos it is quite a distance), so £221 all in.

That's by Karen Jane Cakes

Edit: forgot to mention, cake is square, will feed at least 100, and is bottom tier vanilla sponge, middle tier chocolate sponge and top tier lemon sponge. I sampled them all and they are all soo soooo delicious! I was a bit of each! Although if everyone takes a bit of each there won't be enough lol. I'm also going to get one or two cutting bars of fruit cake from M&S for the traditional people like my gran who would prefer fruit cake.
