I'm getting married on 27th March 2010 last weeek spoke to mother of the groom asking about her outfit she said she hadn't got it yet. Ok had a little panic but wasn't worried offered to take her shopping etc even helped her order something of the internet which she then dediced she didn't like. She said it was ok she had a back up outfit a dress that a friend had given her and a cardigan OH MY GOD couldn't believe she was serious it looked like she had bought it from a charity shop which of course there is nothing wrong with but just felt she would regret it on photos because she would not be as dressy as everyone else. We tried subtly to discuss it with her suggesting that maybe she would like something dresser wasn't suggesting she spent hundreds infact saw some really nice outfits in places like BHS. In the end H2B told her the truth that he wasn't happy which resulted in her having a massive strop and telling us a few hours later that she had spent alot of money on an outfit and she hoped we were pleased.
Can't understand why she has been like this surely she would want to look her best on the day for her son my mother bought her outfit agaes ago. Can't be doing with this so close to the wedding.

My mum and H2Bs mum's have been worse to me about dresses. Ours is black tie, you would have thought a full length evening dress would be easy to find. I finally got my mum sorted and as we had done ALL of London knew where some suitable dresses for H2Bs mum. Did she go to ANY of those places NO, she just whined there was nothing out there. I gave up on her I don't care what she looks like in the photos. All that matters is what me and H2B look like, if she looks bad then she will find that pics of her are absent from the album.

Hi Narina,
Honestly your not alone, my MIL to be hasnt told us what she is wearing she she has something. It could be anything! If it was anyone else Iw ouldnt worry but jesus she thought we would be having lunch at tescos before the ceremony at 2pm - she has no idea how weddings go.
You know what its not long to go now and you should enjoy these days, let her wear what she wants as long as you look and feel great that is all that matters!!
Im having BM issues, my Cheif bridemaid has taken her dress to get taken in and i keep asking when she gets it back to get steammed, she said she would let me know yesterday and im still waiting on her to call! I get married on sat!! people dont get how stressing and important it is! Ive resigned to the fact I cant make people care as much as I do. Im just gonna enjoy this week! Bloody weddings!
