I am thinking about having a classical guitarist at my wedding ceremony and just wondered what peoples views were on it.
It seems that most people have a string quartert, harpist or organist/pianist. Is there a reason why guitarists aren't so popular?
I know at the end of the day it's up to me but I always worry about what other people think so wanted to get some opinions.

I think it sounds like a beautiful idea! We are looking around for musicians for the ceremony at the moment-have you found one?

I think it would be excellent. I originally wanted this, but only if i could get someone i knew to do it. I asked a couple and they didnt want to, so i gave up on the idea.

Well I found a website (www.findaguitarist.co.uk) and there are a few on there that I'm looking at from around my area that do weddings. I've been sent some demo CDs so having a listen.
The quotes I have had are about £200/£250 and I'm umming and ahhing as to whether to spend that much

I had a guitarist play at my wedding. He played whilst we signed the Register and had photo's taken (I had already decided on my entrnce and exit music so didn't want to change that) and he also played throughout our sit down meal.
It was great and everyone complimented him he was so good. If you want a guitarist then I say go for it. You won't be sorry because they sound fantastic. Best wishes xxx
