The lady who owns it is so lovely too. There are loads of gardens so hoping for a nice day for photos. They have chair covers already so don't need to hire them and the building is so pretty I don't think we'll need much in the way of decorations.
Wow that looks fantastic - we have opted for a local hotel where everything can happen in the same place without breaking the bank! We have however booked the photographer for pre-wedding photos where there is plenty of green as there is nothing outside at the venue! Why have we left ourselves so little time? D-Day is 15th Oct!
Loads! We have registered on friday, bought a dress today for me (they cost so much!) and got the venue on hold - we will pay the deposit and confirm next week! Venue said we must get the registrar first! Oh have also booked the photographer and designed the invitations! I now feel like we are completely mad! My dress, veil & tiara is costing nearly as much as the venue! My other half is so excited she can hardly contain herself!
Have you decided on a colour scheme / theme or anything like that? The venue we have booked has gardens so not wanting to go overboard with flowers as it's pretty enough on it's own. I'm having two bridesmen as I don't have a lot of female friends but the one I do have is going to be 'best woman.' We're not having a sit down meal but a cream tea with cheese, bread, crackers and meats to help yourself to.
Hi, Yes colour scheme is burgundy/ivory - to go with the time of the year and my birth stone is garnet. We are having a sit down meal for 50 and then up to 100 in the evening. No garden at the hotel but we will have photos done at home with our dogs before we leave - plenty of green at home! Not sure what to do about a bridesmaid. Buying my dress today has told me that I will need someone to get me in my dress as it laces up at the back - would like to have someone but it is hard to know what to do! Partner has her son who will give her away, hold rings etc.... I have loads of friends and am worried about upsetting people!
We have 4 brideamaids at £140 per dress phew!
Our venue doesnt have gardens either so are going to the local castle to have pictures in their public gardens!
Well so much for no bridesmaids! One of my best friends dropped by today - she has 4 daughters - looks like they may all want to be bridesmaids! The up side of this is if I have them I get her too. I thought this would originally be difficult! She has said she will chip in for the dresses so that will help! Haven't told my friend who is doing the flowers there are bridesmaids yet! She'll be pleased!!! LOL
