No advertisers please, I am not looking to buy from you!

Girls - I know some of you got your lehngas / saris in India. Just wondering how much they set you back over there?

Thanks. x

the firse one was from a shop in nakodar, punjab which was £410, they didn't get the fitting right at all so i ended up buyinh one from phagwara frontier for £700 which is exactly what i wanted.

it depends entirely on how heavy a lengha you want. i went into billa boutiwue in phagwara and they quoted me Rs76000 so i may as well have got it from here, the dupatta was very heavy!!

personally i think that for a stress free shop for your lengha, buy it from here because at least you have the back up if something goes wrong. it might be more expensive but it won't be rushed and it will be perfect!

I went to a shop in Mumbai called Bharat-kshetra (its in Dadar suburb) and got all my wedding sarees and both my bridal lehenga's from there. The sarees were Rs.5000 upwards, one lehenga was Rs.18000 and another was Rs.36000. Having had a look at so many boutiques and bridal shops, I found them to be the best quality, variety and most reasonably priced, no pushy salesmen and noone trying to sell things which were over our budget. Their service was the best and not once did we have any problem with anything considering it was a substantial order. All the sarees had been roll pressed and their falls sewn by the shop at no extra cost and they checked them for any loose threads or any problems before giving them to us. The lehengas were also checked and prepped, beading and crystals checked so they were absolutely perfect when we picked them. Everything was ready to wear. The shop itself is extremely spacious; there are 3 floors with one floor only for bridal lehengas. They also have inhouse tailors who stitch blouses if you want them to - this is at an extra cost but still normal prices.
