Subject: BFP - Now What?
Hi Ladies,

I'm so so so happy. Tested this afternoon just after i bought the tests. (Was going to wait till Tuesday but i couldn't resist lol)

I'm going to phone docs in the morning but is there anything else?

Is there any useful websites i can look up now with do's and don't's of foods etc

Congratulations!!!

Nothing else to do at all, the docs may not even want to see you and just ask you to make an appointment with your midwife. This appointment is normally made between 8&10 weeks. I am still waiting for mine for it all to seem a bit more real!

mumsnet.com
babyexpert.com

these are good and gave me answers to all my inital questions.

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy

Just wanted to say congratulations.
Be aware that your docs wont actually do a pregnancy test for you, they just take your word for it! ................ much to my friends annoyance, she wanted it confirmed by them! Im no expert, but avoid raw or partly cooked eggs, don't eat too much oily fish, avoid pate, and certain cheeses, but not sure which ones! Have far gone do you think you are? xx

I think you are supposed to avoid soft cheeses, or only eat them if they have been cooked and are piping hot but im not 100% sure on that

Luckily i've only got cheddar cheese in and i know that's fine.

My test said 1-2 weeks so i know it's only early days but i need to phone them up to still change my name and address still as i keep forgetting to do it lol I'll see what they say.
