Hi there,

We've got this as our changing bag:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DangerMouse-Penfold-Retro-Bag-Official-New-80's-Cartoon_W0QQitemZ250593108305QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20100311?IMSfp=TL100311155001r36335

Having looked at various "made for purpose" changing bags online and in the shops we came to the conclusion that they are in fact, just bags! My husband found this one online and we thought it was pretty cute and a bit different so went for it.

I've been lugging it around with me for nearly a month now (blimey, time flies) and it suits me down to the ground. Here is what I fit into it:-

- small towel (to put baby on when changing out and about if there is nowhere nice)
- stack of nappies
- roll of cotton wool
- pack of wipes (in case no water supply)
- bottle of that hand cleansing gel (in case no water again)
- silk scarf for breast feeding cover up (folds down nice and small)
- change of clothes for baby
- baby hat in case weather suddenly gets v cold
- small tub of Sudocream (the one you get in your Bounty pack is perfect size for on the go)
- muslin square in case of any mopping up needs
- pack of tissues
- supply of nappy sacks
- wallet, phone, lip balm etc

I've had lots of compliments on it as well, and, importantly, it goes really nicely with the colour of my coat!!

I think you would need somethiing a bit larger if you are planning on bottle feeding rather than breast feeding as the bottles would obvisouly take up space. I've also seen some with insulated pockets for this purpose if that would suit you.

Happy shopping.

Thats so cute, we both laughed as I call my hubby penfold. I will be bottle feeding so will need a big bag with insulated pockets. Its such a pain in the backside as I want one that hubby wont feel to girly carrying it but I dont want a plain black one. xx

if you sign up to boots i'm sure they still give you a free bag if you buy a pack of newborn nappies ?? your h2b could carry that when your out together and then you could buy a nice fancy one for yourself when you are on your own

We've got the free one you get with the Boots Parenting Club.

Its not too bad really, although of course we haven't used it yet! I do however see quite a few parents out with it though, so I'm guessing it can't be that bad?

My sister thought it looked a bit too small, but until we start using it on a daily basis we'll not know for sure.

I really really really want a Yummy Mummy changing bag, but they're so expensive & we really don't have this kind of money available to spend on something that is just a want.

Here is a piccie though of one of them:

They do have quite a few on ebay, but still a bit too expensive. :\(

we have gone for the skip hop dash deluxe in wave dot. i didnt want a black one either and this has a bit of colour on it, plus it is suitable for hubby to carry around too! it is about £55 but my in laws are in florida at the mo and it is a lot cheaper there (£40) so they have ordered it for me and are bringing it back with them x

We've got the M&P's Luna cress buggy and I decided to order the matching changing bag, although it was £40 which I still think was a bit steep for what it is!! Also got the freebie from Boots as well so think will just alternate - the Boots one does look a little small so if a short trip I may use that one for those xx

I really want this one...I know it's ridicuolusly expensive but it fits a lot in (a friend of a friend has it) and it looks great and means I won't have to carry a handbag either...I may change my mind nearer the time though...

My hubby would have a heart attack if I came home with that, its almost as much as we paid for our pushchair with a massive discount. It is beautiful though. xx

I`ve just bought the Bababing Paternity daytripper satchel - but it will mainly be me using it. My buggy is black so wanted one to coordinate with that but also so if h2b takes the kids out, then he won`t mind carrying it!(Does have a little splash of pink on it though!)

For my first, i used a mamas and papas changing bag, but my DD is 17 months old now and our next one due in 12 wks so needed a bit more extra room for spare clothes etc. I love it!
Haven`t used it yet, prob won`t until bubba is born. At the moment, i just cram everyhting i need into a bag handbag!! x
