WHO SAYS I HAVE TO?!! UPDATED WITH PIC

I don't know if there are any other brides out there with the same feeling as me but I just don't want a bouquet. My theme is black and gold and im trying to make everything quite glamorous and I just don't think a pretty bouquet will fit in with my modern/black tie/glamorous theme. Is anyone else having similar thoughts or are there any brides that chose not to have a bouquet? I would love hear from you xx

It is up to you, you are the bride, and you don't have to have one, but how about calla lily bouquet, which looks very glam to me

I must admit that i am having a bouquet (very simple one though) but i have seen loads of brides on here who are having sparkly bead and button or crystal bouquets instead of flowers. For a modern theme you could still have a bouquet it just doesn't have to be 'pretty' take a look at these for inspiration:

of course you might not even want a bouquet at all which is fine too - maybe you could carry a glamorous clutch bag instead? or a feature clutch bag - a cool shape like the lulu guiness lipshape clutch or a beaded one from accessorize?

Wow Ralakins, that Etsy bouquet is stunning, absolutely gorgeous.

I didn' t want real flowers either, so I made my own bouquet using buttons, beads and lots of other bits that I fell in love with...I'll try and post a picture. I loved it because I can look at it every day, it won't die, an I can pass it down to my daughters who also helped me make it -made it uber special. Go for what you'll feel comfy with - theres no set rule that you have to have fresh flowers - an it certainly creates a talking point!

That's lovely, ChuckleButty - I don't normally like button bouquets but you've got a lovely mix of buttons and brooches and whatnots in there. Gorgeous!

I don't particularly want a bouquet either. It's just naother thing to get in my way!

Thanks InkiePixie, I'mobviously biased but I loved it, I know what you mean about getting in your way... mine was laid down on the cake table after the photos and I didn't see it again until the next morning - whoops!

Wow ChuckleButty that is absolutely stunning and makes me want one even more!! I am in the process of emailng a lady who makes them called Noaki and the only thing I would say is that the prices are a tad steep for what I wanted to spend. I would absolutely love to know how you made that because I would definately love to have a go at making one myself. If you could email me details of how you made it (or post it on here if you wanted to) I would be soooo grateful xx

Mine cost about £65 for the raw materials but it depends on what you are wanting to incorporate - not sure how much you are wanting to pay - I'm making one for a friend at the moment and have had a few other people enquiring about them too which is really flattering.

If you want I can email you instructions on how to make them, which may take a couple of days to get it all written out), or, being really cheeky, I would be willing to make you one up in your own specification for the cost price - all I would ask is that I could take pictures of it fully made up to possibly use in the future? I'm not having a bouquet either, I will be having a wrist corsage instead. It has caused a few raised eyebrows, however it's my day and what I want.
