Hi ladies

I wondered if anyone can help! I am all sorted for my wedding day in Jul.y But a HUGE problem is what to wear the next day as my H2B’s family are hosting a BBQ/ party on the Sunday. It’s going to be a big affair with a marquee in their garden and a band etc.

I want my look to soft and feminine but fun! My idea is to go for a floaty, vintage style dress something like this:

Does anyone know where I could get something like this in the UK? Or made? I don’t have a massive designer budget for this though… maybe £400 max.

Thanks a billion!
p.s sorry about pics- I took from a wedding blog had to download the whole set, but hope you get the idea!

Hi Caz,

I'm looking for a dress and on my hunt I found this and thought of you. It might be a bit too full but it's not too unlike the one you like...

sorry can't post a pic...

We are having a similar thing the day after our wedding and I want a pretty dress, after wearing my wedding dress I don't want to slop into jeans and a t, it would be such an anti-climax. I think I want a sort of 50s short dress, I nearly got one for my wedding dress, but opted for something more traditional.

One of the girls on here had a Vivienne of Holloway, not really floaty material but a cute pattern.

I have a VoH dress. They are great - really flattering. Not floaty, but you can choose a petticoat to go underneath and really gives a wow factor.
If you go and visit the shop - don't be put off! It is in a random location but really worth having a good look through all the dresses - if you buy online, make sure you check how you measure yourself as they aren't the usual dress sizes. xx

This isn't a designer but I love it, they do it in Pink too. Thought it might be what you want...

Hi
I love graham and Green

I also am a big fan of Darling clothes, this pic does not do this dress justice the fabric is stunning and really floaty. They mainly sell in boutiques, but they do vintage style tea wear.

Oooo ladies thank you so much for all of these ideas! I had given up getting any replies to my post lol so it was a nice surprise.

I LOVE the 50's style dress, I had not thought about going for that style, so will defo go and check out Viv of Hollerway. Loving Graham and Green too, maybe for some honeymoon dresses

My main worry about a high street dress is in case someone turns up in the same dress! Can you imagein?!

Thanks!

There are some amazing vintage dresses online, includiing on those websites jemwarrior mentined. My mother in law started collecting 1970's dresses and we came across lots of earlier stuff but be careful on the sizing and by from measurements NOT clothes sizes!
