We went to see our Registrar today and get all the info for declarations/vows etc and she gave us 2 ceremony examples and told us we can chop/change or replace whatever we like as long as its not religous.
Is this right? I thought you *had* to say certain things?

Nope. With a civil partnership you don't even have to have a ceremony - so it's a blank canvas. The legal bit is the signing of the wedding register.

I know it causes too much choice really - I think we are going to have to put a day in our diaries to argue about the ceremony!
