Jesus, talk about drama!
Turning as a surprise to your menu tasting was well out of order and then taking it over,also well out of order too.
Feel sorry for your FIL though with his health problems and then coping with your MIL... she does sound like a proper drama queen... did she actually end up in hospital?

she sounds like a nightmare! why is she behaving that way, thinking she can take over? is she paying for the wedding?? still not a reason to take over but is that the reason she feels she can?.. i dont know how you have put up with her speaking to you like that.

hi hun, I am sorry, what is with families, I having problems with mine at the moment, hun you need to make yourself and hubby happy, as you said she has said nasty things before and saying they are calling a ambulance for her, I am sorry if they did have to call one but it just to make you feel bad for saying how you feel, ruining your lovely evening you had planned, it is up to you want food you are having the YOUR wedding cos its your day, I have cut all ties with my nan and don't want anything to do with her, it up to you but I would cut her out cos you dont need the s**t hunny. xx

sorry hun, I hate people who have the power to play with people's feelings, you going have to just be there for h2b and ignore her, it hard as its his family and not yours, just talk to h2b and get him to talk to his dad to talk to her that normally works, hope it sorts out xxx

Im really glad your h2b stood up for you.

I think from now on just try and not to tell her anything about the wedding so she doesnt find a way to involve herself.
Wedding times can be so hard, my mil2b annoys me sometimes but nothing compared to what you've had to put up with. You feel like your doing the nice thing keep them updated and asking for advice but when your going to get this childish reaction from her then theres just no point.

Just don't tell her ANYTHING anymore about the plans, then she can't interfere, ban h2b from telling her anything too!
She sounds like an absolute moo-bag, I would actually call the venue and tell them not to give her any onformation if she calls them asking stuff about your day! x

Oh my lordy she wouldn't be out of place playing an evil MIL in a hollywood chick flick...!
The turning up at the tasting I could understand if she genuinly thought you could do with help and would appreciate it but she completely sounds very insecure and probably struggling to let her son grow up as well... not an excuse at all for her behaviour but it sounds like she's scared of not being important anymore so she's acting like a child throwing tantrums. What a nightmare but fortunately you and hubby2b are keeping a united front. x
